Too bad Honolulu doesn't have an MLS team - I bet he'd do well with home-crowd support. I actually wonder how Honolulu would do with an MLS team - with a metro area of 980,000, it's only a bit smaller than the Salt Lake City metro area (1.2 million). Would still be smallest MLS market though. Might sell a lot of tickets to tourists as well.
As long as they only ever played Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, LA, LAFC, San Jose and maybe RSL... Those east-coast to Hawaii flights are really killer. Orlando has to be 12 hrs. NYC is 10 or so direct. Atlanta has to be 8 hrs. Montreal, I think, is close to 14 hrs. Hard to imagine where he moves, esp if HSV get promoted. He's on such a rich deal. But also a shame to spend another year on the bench/in reserves.
I sadly concur. I don't see a way back. Such a shame. I just wish for a goal or 2 before it all ends.
Wood scores again!! (Lou Viking gets his wish - in November!) A little too anxious to deliver the parting shot, aren't we? Many an athlete has been much further in the tank than Bobby and regained their prominence. Would be interesting to read the peanut gallery comments on a Brian McBride prior to his resuscitation in England for instance. I'm a Bobby believer.
McBride dislocated his kneecap, had a scalp cut, and an inflamed eye. He never blew his knee. Bobby has chronic knee issues. That's a lot worse, the sort of thing that ends careers.
I haven't been following this thread, is this a gag and everyone who rep'd this post is aware that this is from a dude's Football Manager 2020 playthrough?
Hmm but would moving to a Hawaii based MLS team be considered a step up or moving down to aloha level?
Hunt is missing the HSV - next starting lineup for Wood? Next chance for Wood? On the other hand, Wood, who played in Hamburg's starting line-up for the first time this season in a 2-1 game against Dresden, is on hand. "It was not an easy game for him, we struggled to create chances for a long time, it was his first game from the beginning, he was not used the way he needed to make an exclamation mark," he said Hecking his attacker (kicker note 5), who got criticism for his appearance, in protection. "He did not have the deciding scenes right now, that's a pity for him, it's not out of the question that he'll play again from the start tomorrow." https://www.kicker.de/763703/artikel/hunt_fehlt_dem_hsv_naechster_startelfeinsatz_fuer_wood_
not watching but looks like he's hitting the end of the road at HSV. Started. All the worse when you consider that Osnabruck are a promoted BL3 side ((though they won that division) with three CBs out injured. I just hope the issue is psychological, but I'm not optimistic.
you need to also see that Osnabruck after 15 games played have only conceded 14 goals best defense in 2BL. as for Wood, as a player he's only had 1 good season which was at Union Berlin the rest wasn't good enough.

He'd better. Ant offers when his contract ends aren't going to be lucrative enough to require a financial advisor, that's for sure.
HSV manage the late equalizer to get a point off Sandhausen today, but it's been a poor run of form for Hamburg. Only one win in last 5. 5 points total, which is especially unfortunate as Arminia "only" took 9 points in last 5, but that was good enough to open a bit of room between them and Hamburg. HSV need to get back to scoring, but there's no indication they are up for it.
You can say what you will, but coach keeps saying good things and Bobby keeps showing up. At the very least that assures the checks keep clearing and they will give you a letter of rec if they can find a tutor.
Yeah the coach is not dumb, and if they want to keep a sliver of hope of selling him, well, they have to sell it, y'know.
