Honestly, I haven't seen his aggressiveness since his goals against Bunrley more than a month back. He needs that hunger back, that thirst for goals, that something to prove after a long time on the bench, that drive into goal and say "f**** you'all i ain't passing the damn ball, i am going for glory" Perhaps a rest will do him good.
That's on Lampard. I am shocked he used the same starting 11 from 4 days ago, zero rotation. Lots of these legs were already shot dead.
I wasn't aware they brought him for that much which makes it worst...I guess they will have to swallow these type of performances for a while longer and this could cost them much more money not finishing top 4 and champions league money.... eventually, they will need to get someone else...just like Liverpool finally realized Loris Karius had to go.
Sometimes you just have to take your losses and move on. Imagined you're in the last game of the season and a tie or win would seal a 4th place finish and a ticket to the CL, then to have Kepa makes some boneheaded plays like he did today and lost the game. Now that's going to cost you lots more money than that 80M you paid a few years ago.
We'll see how long that lasts. But Chelski had a favorable schedule in late Oct/Nov before all the CL play caught up with them. It's a lot of games to stay sharp, esp for a younger team. Hopefully they keep the wolves at bay.
I don't get it. They should be trying to get Koulibaly or Chilwell, but all the talk is about getting more wingers/wide AMs. The Independent rated Kepa and Christensen a 4, Zouma, Azpi and Puli a 5, Kante, Willian, Mount and Tammy a 6, and James and Kovacic a 7. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...inic-calvert-lewin-result-score-a9237156.html
Barca can’t wait to dump him. 1-1 player with his head down. He does not fit into a team passing situation.
I will probably get called a boomer for thinking OD has very little character. He threw a fit and refused to honor his commitments to force the transfer to BVB and then did the same to force his way out. Even early on at Barca there were signs he was not going to have the discipline for what is required at the highest levels of sport. Barca even hired him a private chef in an effort to get him to manage his nutrition properly. I mean as much as he makes they had to hire him a chef and his claim to fame is his body and he doesn't think he needs to take care of it? CFC would be foolhardy to buy OD he and Frank will work only as long as OD wants it too and then it will blow up in epic fashion. As to CP, I guess it is time to fuk him off to Shrewsbury Town or Sunderland. He hasn't scored or got an assist in a minute so he is going to get benched and then he needs to put in a transfer request. He is too weak for the PL and his shot sux.
I'm a filthy millennial and while I wouldn't say he has "very little character," since I don't know him, I'd say the evidence is pretty strong that he doesn't have the drive to reach his potential and perform in the upper echelons of the sport. That makes him another chapter in the long, long tale of similarly-situated people across all professions.
I just rewatched a highlight of all his goals/assists for Barcelona. Obviously not a complete snapshot of his play, but it convinces me that a more direct team would be better for him. Probably would do really well in England. I wish Pulisic had 3/4 of his finishing ability. He really can score a bunch of different ways. So yeah, I think he's a mercurial talent that probably could thrive in the right situation, but he might never find it. His professionalism is probably worse than all the players in the world that are good enough to have bad attitudes. I.E. he's more Balotelli than he is Ibra.
Not sure what you're reading from this thread that makes you say this. I think it's perfectly fair to say he wasn't good yesterday. It is also fair to say he can get manhandled. It's not an indictment of him, but it's something he needs to adapt to.
