Just got back from the match - congrats Saudi! It's going to be an awkward final on Sunday, who knows what kind of a crowd will show up? Anyhoo, I'll be there as always but no idea if they're still gonna play it in the 45,000 seat stadium or move it to a smaller venue.

    FT 0-1 KSA

congrats to the saudi fans for this win and to play the final which i hope to win it surely. I'd love to see such a great success after AL Hilal won the ACL then the Saudi team winning the gulf cup..

we missed Salem Al Dossary and Salaman Al Faraj in this game

i wish you enjoyed the match and the atmosphere.
i don't predict the stadium to be full of attendance in the final and that's something normal since most Saudi fans won't go there to Qatar due to obvious reasons ( we all already know ).. and of course if this final be in another place or at home in Saudia, it's gonna be more than 50,000 of fans easily inside

We played horribly almost whole game & managed to win 1-0.
Fawaz Al Qarni is proving to be a proper GK for the NT until he's haunted again by politics and Abdullah Maouf is back on the pitch.

Second player standing out in this Gulf Cup is Abdellilah Al Malki who have been praised by many for his performance in all matches so far.

Lastly, Mohamed Khubrani is worth mentioning for his performance in this cup. I hope he gets a new partner soon and establish himself.

Finally, I am predicting the NT to bring a trophy home but who knows since we choke a lot in final games.

The attendance will be partial I believe, Bahrainis traveled to Qatar in large numbers to watch against Iraq which I am expecting the same for the finals. You can expect few Kuwaities to travel Qatar & support KSA.

Well I finally got my ticket for the final tomorrow. They only just put the tickets on sale this morning temporarily at least, and then again this afternoon. Will be strange to see what kind of crowd they get. They moved it from the 45,000 seat Khalifa Stadium to the 9,000 seat Duhail so oh well it won't at least feel that empty. Anyhoo, I wound up making a video of the semifinal game, albeit didn't get the goal as that came from a half-chance...

Anyway, may the best team win tomorrow....

    KSA vs Bahrain Today..

2 teams who were not at all favourites to enter the final are playing today with hoping to win the first title since a decade and for the first time respectively.

I am predicting an easy walkover for KSA considering our history of matches with Bahrain. But looking at match vs Qatar and how dull we were in attacking third without Salem Dawsari things can be concerning.

Bahrain have won only one match so far in this tourney & might be just satisfied to be in the finals only.

    Prediction : KSA 3-1 Bahrain

i think with the return of Salem and Salman today, our attack ability should be much better with more creativity

    i predict 2-1 KSA

What happened tonight?... How KSA lost 0-1 to Bahrain...

Saudi hardly had any decent shot on goal except for few here and there... KSA had less than 5 shots on goal in the semi final against Qatar where Qatar had more than 10 attempts and same story tonight where Bahrain registered more attempts on goal as compared to Saudis minute attempts...
Saudi arabia is suffering in terms of striking power and Abdullah Al Hamdan alone is NOT the solution. Feras Al Barakan also disappointed many tonight with his inexperience and somewhat selfish play. Also, Saudi central Defenders are pathetic when you remove central defender who managed to control most of the time

Not sure what Saudi Arabia gained from this tournament except for losing shape and losing proper winning combination which we haven't seen after 2007 Asian Cup...

As expected we choked & lost against Bahrain..

Saudi NT is becoming a best finalist team now where they have lost around 5 finals so far consecutively. As played against Qatar, the team was lacking final third penetration with heavy reliance on Salem Al Dawsari.

Secondly, the coach playing 4-3-3 is not helping either when you play Firas in winger role when he is a striker. Did not use Abdul Fatah Asiri when he is arguably a better player on the wings and cut inside.

Its long way to go for the NT now and as said only Abdullah Hamdan is not enough to rely on.

Mohammed Khubrani and Abdelilah Malki stand out players for the NT. Still require a established CB & creative playmaker who can cover Abed .

Tough luck Saudi... we wound up sitting with the Saudi side of the supporters, but the stadium was pretty much 70% pro-Bahrain I'd have to say. I think you guys had a stone-cold penalty at the end of the first half not given that could have changed the match plus the penalty miss in the end. Really bizarre tournament with a lot of unpredictable results and who would have ever thought Bahrain would have won in the end? So what will happen now, do you think the federation will stick with Renard? Got to see 3 Saudi games, the loss vs Kuwait, the win over Qatar and now this game. I'd say this one was unlucky though.

I don't Renard but we don't have a good team either. Couple of new players in the squad and few positions to be filled. No upcoming regional tournaments for Renard to be judged again so I take he continue till we qualify for the next round of qualifiers and pack him later on..

Whatever guys its just a friendly tournament after all. World Cup and Asian Cup are most important. KSA is in a strong position now to qualify for the final round, that's what matters.

    Good luck
