Maybe he has potential.....but in this moment of his career he should prove much more and improve............

the thing that concerned me is the difference of impact he has in second division and in first division, like happened in last season and happened in colombia where he wasnt cose as good with america that he was in second division in pereira.

goo thing is that he is very young

To this I would say what Colombian player at his age has played in the first division of Spain and has put up the numbers and good work rate efforts?
Heck, Any of the top 5 Leagues in Europe?
    Not many..
But yes, he does have to improve and his club situation could be a major factor on if he does improve.

Real Sociedad and Real Betis are both interested apparently, those would both be really good spots for him, Betis in particular with Fekir coming in could be a really good offensive team next season.

Looks like they play with only one striker. Not sure that is good for his development but we have to wait and see. Maybe they will put him on the right wing.

I don't see this guy starting as a single striker on any mid table european club. He simply has no credentials to get those teams to look past his size.

Considering that everybody is shifting towards single striker formations, this guy HAS to prove his worth in multiple attacking positions.

I don't think anybody sees him starting any time soon. Especially without knowing his teammates or coach.
Point is, I dont think his skill set fits at #9 in any formation.
But from what I see this team would have him playing #9 when he did not have to do that as much at his last club.
That could stunt his growth a bit.

His only moments of true success have come in second division when he played as Huesca's 9 and Pereira's 9.

But from what I have seen in La Primera and in the Sub 20 he seems to do better out on the wings. Sometimes drifting toward the middle.

Maybe he has also done well as a "False 9" as they say but not a pure target man.

He's tailor made to play as a false 9 not as a target 9 and that formation has been great for a lot of top clubs and its a rare skillset. He can probably play across the front 3 and as a 10 but false 9 fits him best imo. Him and Kubo fit that formation pretty well so they may be trying to play that with Kubo wide and Cucho able to drop deep and leave space behind for wide attackers to exploit.

I just heard that he may be out until November.
    Not good.

I hope his recovery is faster than that.

So he said he played the wc u20 injured, but wasnt forced by the doctors and the coach.

    So i have these concerns:

1, He was honest to the medical staff and coach that he was bad? or he just ocult that to them to keep up his place.

    2. In case doctors and coach knew about this injure, why they allow him?? i understand a doctor cant authorize a player with a “desgarro“. I think he didnt reveal how bad was feeling.

    3. conclusion: he didnt have to played the cup. he was irresponsible, if the medical and technicall staff also knew they are responsibles....at the end was clear that his contribution wasnt what we expected.

Always gotta be on the doctors and coach especially for young players, they will always try to play and don't have the experience to pull themselves back because they don't realize the repercussions. Gotta put this on the Colombian FA if it was a risk, makes sense he was hurt because he did not play well at all.

Not always a doctor can detect in authomatic way or even with examns the health of a player if he doesnt warn.

For a reason he exhime repsonsability from medical and tecnichall staff.

But is normal he is so young and is difficult tommanage this situatuon.

Yeah its always on the player to speak up about anything, trainers can't do anything if the player is hiding discomfort or pain.

I hear that Cucho has been cleared to play and will be on the bench today against Barca.

Let's see if he gets any playing time. It has been a while since he has seen any action.

    It is Cucho time.
Team down 0-1, he comes on in the 57th minute. Let's see if he can provide a spark...

Sevilla was just way too superior and the VAR penalty pretty much iced the game. 0-2.
Not much else to say. Cucho just had a few good dribbles and not too many opportunities to shoot.

Cucho started his first match for Mallorca today.
I did not wake up early enough to watch the entire match but from what I saw he was dangerous and was close to drawing a penalty that VAR did not look at for some reason.

His team lost, but I am just happy to see him healthy and playing a full 90 again..

Looks like Cucho has been starting every mach recently. He hasn't gotten on the score sheet and I haven't seen any of the games but he's being preferred to Kubo which is nice and Mallorca aren't exactly an offensive powerhouse to say the least. Good that he's playing, lets see if he can get up to form and put his long injury layoff behind him.
