Back when it was first reported, San Lorenzo fans were saying that he is worth 5-10 million.

I generally think most fans of a player about to leave their team usually have an inflated sense of what his transfer value should be.

In this case I can believe it though. Barrios is a recent Argentine U23 and while I dont exactly know what that means for a players value to teams specifically, I know a lot of these young South Americans this league is bringing in are costing just that, like 5 to 10 million.

Most fans of most teams have an inflated sense of the value of their good players.

Didn't see this being discussed anywhere else. Crew placed 1 player on this years Best 22 under 22 with Luis Diaz coming in at #17. Have to assume Valenzuela's injury killed his chances to repeat his placement on the list.

    https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...best-22-under-22-prospects-tiers-andrew-wiebe
In that article, Wiebe placed all eligible players in tiers. Diaz and Valenzuela are flirting with stardom (agreed) while Keita is "Not a Starter Yet, But/And" which is technically true but I think he's shown just as much as a lot of the players in the "They're Starters Now" tier. JJ Williams is the last name falling into the "USL Darlings We Could See in MLS Soon" which I think is fairly generous for JJ.

For those who ask about the interest of 2 MLS clubs by Nahuel Barrios, I am honestly not in a position to state whether it is true or not. I do not have it.
In the previous market Columbus Crew had the youth in the folder but did not send offers.

Maybe this guy will be a LW/ Cam and him and Pedro will be interchangeable. I know he is 5’1 128 but Pedro is also small and speed , agility and technical ball skills along with positioning can make a dynamic player despite your typical size.

if this is the guy it better work this seems like we would be overpaying . Other teams are after him i heard the Timbers are one of the teams

Reading the tweet comments about Barrios. His nickname is perrito (little dog) but there seems to be a lot of comments about his party and drinking habits and SL fans are wondering if that is the reason he's leaving. Smoke? Fire? Here's one of the many comments.

Parece que le gusta mucho la noche y el vil líquido. Aparentemente, un tema de larga data. Me quiero morir, lejos, es el que más se merece una oportunidad, pero un deportista debe ser un profesional, y si se confirmara la versión, sería muy doloroso.

He seems to like the night and the vile liquid very much. Apparently, a long-standing topic. I want to die, far away, it is the one that deserves the most opportunity, but an athlete must be a professional, and if the version were confirmed, it would be very painful.

Seems to be a good player inside the lines and some fans are asking why the hell they would let him go and these are many of the responses. Arriving drunk to training was mentioned a few times.

And I'm just the messenger here.

Is anyone else less than thrilled with signings so far? Backups which I understand. Nagbe the only starter and he is no youngster. Cadden is a unknown.

Crew announced the re-signing of their E-Sport player, thank god.

The suspense on that front was killing me

True, but out of contract players can be signed. And signings can certainly be announced now, SKC just signed the leading scorer in the Mexican league.
