Does that ever count as a assist? No

And ranked 22nd at the Ballon d'or Awards.
This is historical for an Asian player.
But what a player like M'bappé did last year to be ranked 6th?

Great news for Son to top off the fantastic year.

I wouldn’t really quibble about who comes where apart from the winner tbh. It’s half performance-based, but half popularity contest. No way that Cristiano Ronaldo deserve to be in the top 10 at the moment, and on the other side, Benzema at the bottom? You have to be kidding me. Plus I have no idea how Kante or Suarez can miss out on the shortlist compared to some players on this list.

Highest ever position for an Asian player, but not a fair comparison to the nominees pre-2007, since before then, only journalists from UEFA countries voted. Pretty sure Park would have got a few votes himself from Asian journalists if they had voted.

Not sure who I would say is better: 2005 Park or 2019 Son...

I would say Son was more threatening offensively and had better stats, even though Park was amazing in 2005 (and in 2011 as well but wasn't among the nominees)

Voting from Finland for the Ballon d’Or chose Son as the fifth best player

Mourinho puts out a dogshit line up of Winks / Sisokko midfield. I was having CL Final flashbacks....

It was a weird game. ManU dominated, and deserved the win, yet their goals were flukey. The first goal should have been saved. It was poor goal keeping. Second was a very soft penalty. Could have easily been not given.

Spurs had 3-4 very good chances, but the final passes were terrible. They were just a couple of good passes away from equalizing or taking taking the lead.

Still have no clue why any sane manager would put Winks out there as a starter. You put Winks out there in the open transfer market and there wouldn't be a single club that would pick him up.

Mourinho is no genius, putting out a proven failed lineup didn't help this team at all.

VAR is just shite. Frustrating. They cant even get it right with it, then its no idea. Cause that was the main thing, to get it right. There is incidents in every game they dont even bother to check. Wich makes me wanna punch my fkcing tv everytime.

In case of penalty decisions, I think the purpose of VAR is to correct clear errors. It won't change judgment calls. Had Vigil been penalized, it would have stood as well.

I think of a lot of positives when I think of Son, but tuhon isn't one of them.

After Son's quote about being sad after the loss, can't help but think Mou is talking about him.

Pochettino has cultivated too many nice guys on this team. They need some real cunts with kick-ass attitude. Lamela is the only one that comes close.
