Awesome. I wonder if there is any eco-conscious motive behind that? Even if there isn't, taking public transportation as a well-known professional sportsballer is cool for the fans and, further, having random social interactions with other people is positive for society in general.

It could be he does a lot of charity work with Ethiopia during his summers. Plus he has always been a man of the people. He watched the 2017 German Cup final with Dortmund fans at the city centre. And there is this famous video.
