Kicking players while they are on the ground is what winners do. – Coach Eyebrow No defense to the charge he teaches dirty play nor that dirty play has no part of real football…
You and your ilk are the worst type of "seasoned soccer parent" you actually believe you know what you are talking about. I usually find with this type, that they have an overly inflated opinion of how good their child is, and more dangerously, fill their child's head with unrealistic dreams of being a professional football player. I coach for free, for the love of the game, and ask for nothing in return from the multitude of boys that I coach except dedication and the pursuit of excellence. You do nothing for anybody except your own son, who you are damaging with your lack of knowledge, interference and misguided notions of premiership deals and scholarships. I'd laugh, but really, it's a sad all to familiar story.
From what I can tell, you’re a delusional egomaniac, who coaches because it makes you feel like a big man, living vicariously through a bunch of 10 years olds whom you rule over and teach to play like mini versions of yourself, which centers around poor sportsmanship and dirty play… Perhaps in the real world, you’re a nice bloke.
And like I said, delusional... And speaking of delusional, YOU”RE the one who started this shit in this thread and others…most of us are more than happy to remain civil and stick to the topic at hand…YOU throw your cheap shots and make it personal every time…
I doubt you even know what real football is. Apart from watching it on tv and drinking beers in a parking lot before driving your kid home from practice you have zero knowledge of the game. I doubt you could even manage ten keepie ups
Hell, I doubt I could manage two keepie ups… I have made it no secret that I have never played soccer nor that consider myself an expert… I feel in love with soccer because of my son’s love and interest in the game…
The "banter" was getting out of hand. This is a Youth Soccer forum. Experience and expertise will be respected, but that means ANY experience. Being a parent is not the same thing as being a coach, but anybody who thinks you can't learn anything about youth soccer from years as a parent is kidding themselves. This is a call for a reset. Find something else to talk about besides each other. And leave other people's kids and their parenting out of it.
You did make light of what was clearly out-of-bounds behavior. I'll ask everybody to turn down the vitriol going forward.
Last season(Spring) it was deemed a point of emphasis that after a goal there was no need for players to be beckoned onto the field. We play platoons and would sub at least six at a time to build depth. Ref went ape when we subbed six after the first goal. He said he did not care what the rule stated that he was responsible for keeping order on the field and all players had to be beckoned.
Euro trash snobbery is strong with this one. I wouldn't let my kid anywhere near you bro. I've seen and worked with coaches like you and they never last. Coaches like you drive out massive numbers of players and eventually they are tossed by their clubs because of the stink they make throughout the youth soccer business - where word travels fast.
Except for the verbal rape of one's ear about how great you are. Not surprised you are not getting paid though. Maybe those two are linked?
Where was it a point of emphasis? In the IFAB Laws of the Game, the rule is that players cannot enter the field until the subs are off the field after the referee acknowledges that a substitution is taking place. In high school soccer, players MUST be beckoned onto the field even after a goal before they can enter.
I'm not sure which NFHS rule book you are looking at but mine lists the following as points of emphasis for 2019-2020: 1. Prevention of Knee Injury 2. Pre-game Communication Between the School Administration and Game Officials 3. Officials Communicating Misconduct to Coaches In addition, it says the following about subs after goals in Rule 3: ART. 2 . . . Time for Substitutions: either team may substitute an unlimited number of players from the bench, provided they report to the scorer's table or nearest official and are beckoned in as per 3-4-1a: a. when a goal is scored.
