So wrong there is nothing good about our CMs. They are too slow, put no pressure on the ball, stunt any quick counterattack, often turnover the ball, leave acres of space in the midfield and give no cover to the defense.

Guendouzi and Ozil on the field together is not good. They are same type of player but one has a lil more defense. Ozil is like playing with one less guy. I agree with most other observations. Need more defensive help. I am not up on injuries, what happened to Pepe? Lots a cash spent and he doesn't start? Freddy has to watch this game a few more times to see what worked and what did not.

We created 8 chances. Ozil created 4 of them. This attack lacks fluidity when he isn't in the team.

Lee Dixon from Old Trafford made some good points. Essentially said Freddie was never going to come in overnight and fix this. If they had a month to work and drill, this squad could be 50% better than they are now, but that's not going to happen.

Yes. The little Ozil contributes on offense is offset by the lack of defense, IMHO. Truly, I used to be a huge fan, but he has dropped off. He sometimes drops back for the ball when it's coming forward with purpose. I think Guendozi makes the simple pass that usually keeps the attack flowing. Either that or I am dazzled by his hair.

 

The midfielders did get wide under Wenger. The problem under Wenger was they did it too freaking much.
