This game could be 3-0 to Valencia. Lumpy better get another body into defensive midfield or that's it for this little experiment.

 

That's a nice change of pace to the endline by Pulisic and cross into a good general area. A 2nd man needs to be making a run there besides the CF. Willian and Kovacic were late. Maybe the 2nd half calls for Mount somewhere in the cm mix.

 

CP needs to drive the ball into goal more, take a shot...he's not very dangerous thus far.

The problem creating those two clear chances for Valencia was not blocking or clearing easy balls at the back. Tomori starting over Zouma is inexplicable. But I'm always for a stay at home/destroyer 6. So Kante moving back and Mount in for Jorginho would help too.

Kante gets a wide-open shot from 15 and skies it pulling back a little bit. Nice combo play from Kovacic, James, Willian to set it up.
