I agree with the bolded but I still don't see why guys like Jovic and Militao can't get more playing time than they've been getting. How are Ramos-Varane playing every single game? Why can't we give Benz a bit of a break esp since he isn't as young anymore?
What you've done for the club shouldn't give you the privilege to walk over it. Bale's issues extend far beyond the golf and the banner. It goes to going above his coach to get preferential treatment, to leaving the stadium after being subbed off, to leaving games early from the press box, to asking to leave minutes after the final whistle of the CL final, to his agent pooping on the fans at the Bernabeu, to, to, to...
I don't get why the manager who has led this club to three CL can't get more trust from fans. Literally look back at his decisions. Most of the time he has been right or ended up being right.
At the risk of being labeled as a Zidane fanboy, this ^ Our defense is finally starting to come together, I would keep things as they are and phase Militao in when we are settled. Jovic should get more minutes, but its hard to justify starting him when Benzema has scored 40% of our goals this season, and every game Rodrygo and Valverde start, they are spent by the 70th minute so thats two subs he is not getting. VJ needs special treatment, I dont know if persisting with him is the right approach when he is over eager and not just unlucky, and Brahim has seen barely any minutes so its hard to say how far he is from playing regularly. Either way, we are looking good, we are recovering important players that many here wrote off and its because of Zidane's faith in them. I think even forgetting his 3 CLs and La Liga, his work this season so far has earned him some trust in his decisions.
I don't get why fans aren't allowed to question the manager just a little bit? What does him winning 3 CLs have to do with wanting players who are suppose to be our future play a bit more?
People might say this one isn't as important with PSG being able to grab that number 1 spot with a draw, but it's the first difficult game in a stretch of multiple complicated ones. In my opinion it's the chance to show that this team has really improved.
Also re:Zidane and young players. Only players left out are Vinicius and Militao. I don't get the feeling that Zidane rates Jovic or feels he's an adequate Benzema backup, while with Vinicius I feel like he's protecting him after the whole Bernabeu thing and we'll see him at away games mostly for the time being.
If Brugge fails to win against Galatasaray we are at the 1/8 finals before the game against PSG starts. I think that the game against Alaves is more important ,but ofcourse we shouldn allow another loss against Paris. Verrati will miss the game which is good for our midfield,i expect Zidane to start with the old midfield trio and Bale ......if that happens i dont think that we will play good football 2-1 ........ Verrati is actually in the squad
I think with Jovic it is more of the fact Benzema needs minutes because of all these international breaks. With Vinicius, we KNOW he is protecting him because he has said multiple times these kids are young and need to be protected. He wants to manage expectations which is intelligent. Just look at poor Vinicius. We threw the entire club on his back 8 montha ago and now people think it's sensible to sell him.
Isco should no way make the squad but we have an unbalanced squad so Zidane dont have too much choice
I'm curious if Zidane will start Bale. Is a possible performance worth the response from the crowd and the drama? A league match vs La Real is one thing but having this thing play out in front of millions in one of the matches with the highest visibility in the CL group stages seems very awkward.
I said before the game last week I believe he already pre-determined starting Rodrygo against Sociedad and Bale against PSG. His comments about protecting these youth mix with his defense of Bale just makes it seem like that's where his mind is at.
Hazard was pretty underwhelming then, that front 3 should be more interesting now the Belgian is finding his form.
Yeah Bale will probably start. What can you do he's our player and he can have glimpses of brilliance. Until we sell him he will play. I'm afraid Marcelo will too since Mendy started on the last match but Marcelo defensively against psg could be catastrophic. About Militao, Vini and Jovic what can you do? Our defense seems pretty good with Varane and Ramos, Rodrygo is playing better while Vini underperforms and while I really value Jovic, Benzema is our leader right now. These kids have to be patient. They are here for the long run not to play every other game this year. A midfield of Modric-Kroos-Casemiro is a recipe for disaster. I hope Zizou has learned his lesson by now.
