That's why teams that use yellow claim that it's gold or canary when it's really not.

No one who understands Chicago would come up with a 6 pointed star that wasn't the one from the flag and no one who understood the Fire would add Columbus yellow to our badge. Complete Fail.

I take this as the final confirmation that they don't give a fvck about me or my kind.

Which is fine, I'm probably representative of a small minority of the fanbase, and an even smaller portion of the potential fanbase.

plus, it saves me money, I guess.

Now we have the Fire “Crown”?

This further illustrates why Ownership and Corporate Executives should not let outside consultants drive branding decisions. A huge waste of money and just being tone deaf in general.

So is the Fire the USL affiliate of the Whitecaps or Real Salt Lake?

“The club’s pillars – Be Chicago. Be Football. Be a Club. – are fused into the new badge,” Fire president/general manager Nelson Rodriguez said in a news release.

What happened to "Tradition, Honor, and Passion?" lol Can you really call anything a pillar when it's been randomly invented by a marketing firm?

I assume we're becoming a tackle football team. I'm working on my CFFC branded football helmet for the home opener. I'm hoping CJ Sapong will have double digit touchdowns again this year.

Probably the best thing that happened to the Fire today.

I absolutely knew they would call it a crown.

I REALLY don't like this rebrand in general - was hoping for more of a simple update/refresh to the existing, classic badge - but all that being said, it certainly looks much better on navy (as sported here by sexxxxy blue-steel Frankie Klopas) than it does on a white background... just hope that in reality it isn't SO close to RSL colors as it appears to be in some of these initial images.

ditching "Tradition. Honor. Passion." for the incredibly generic, meaningless marketing mumbo jumbo of "Be Chicago. Be Football. Be a Club." is probably more offensive to me than the new logo/colors tbh.

It was cool they got Sarah Gorden too, but I found something she said funny.

"I wanted Caiden to grow up in Chicago because its a nothing-is-handed-to-you kind of town."

Then the marketing department turns around and gives up a gold crown as a crest. Either they really need a history lesson on how monarchy works or someone got their messages crossed.

    and where are they "fused"?

plenty of team logos and shields of various kinds have actual mottos in the shield, see the Yeovil shield I posted yesterday, or the greatest clan ever:

    upload_2019-11-21_14-50-49.jpeg

where the fvck are these new empty buzzwords "fused" into the new logo?

Frank looks like a homeless dude wearing an 80s t-shirt he got from the Salvation Army.

I can’t tell if Frank is displeased with this rebranding or if he was directed to look “gritty”.

Just to be clear, am more than fine with the change to FC. That GD logo though, not so much. Means squat and the color scheme?

Bound to rope in the globally curious though. So, at least they have that working for them.

At the end of the day, Mansueto must have been compelled to make a statement that the Fire are new and improved. This isn't the way.

The logo is satanic/occultish actually "Duality" as above so below like the Baphomet Goat God Satan!
Works for our national's capital with the Washington monument "Egyptian obelisk" or Satan's pxxxs symbolism: in the reflecting pool of water. "Duality" ...well at least it isn't black and white colors!

Also the Triangle, why not add a All Seeing Eye "Eye of Horus" on the top of the 6 triangles! ...then triple the 6 triangles...666
With the Satanic times we live in the logo goes quite well along with other imagery!
