higher goal % than Klose n Mario Gomez , both are true 9?
Gnabry as false 9 works for us because he is a scorer

He is still young, just 24. Maybe at 25 will be his first tourney. Still not bad

Well as said our midfield and attack is on great form and with reus , havertz , sane and if by a fat chance muller still to return we are okay ...

Our Defense was not really tested , but Can did just knock over anyone close to him and we haven’t played against stronger competition with our new Defense .

I think hector played well ...

if you are as good as Messi, Mane, Hazard, Lautaro or Cristiano. U can play all three attacking positions ... not a problem

I think Gnabry is one of the top 10 attackers in the world right now. Better than Sterling because Gnabry is more technical in terms of finishing.

Gnabry as false 9 works better when there is a physical presence like Goretzka beside him.

The front three can be interchanging , Goretzka brings some other elements to our game. Think Goretzka is the real catalyst

Yes, I think havertz has more potential than goretzka in that position, but goretzka never let's loew down

@Epitome990 described Can perfectly, he's basically a douchebag and sometimes you need his type in the squad as the rest might be too soft.

Joachim Löw: The game was a lot of fun for us, we played our game consistently, even after the 3-1 we continued to play forward, we wanted to score goals. We can really be very satisfied. Northern Ireland took the lead with the first shot, but we were not impressed. Of course, that was not so easy because the Northern Irishmen were very deep, entrenched on their own 16s, sometimes with nine players. That was not easy for us. Nevertheless, we had good walking paths and therefore also made the goals. In recent sessions, I have demanded that today we play and run smoothly, that we draw lots of deals and show the fans a good game. Everything worked out today. We also wanted to show once again that we can do a game over 90 minutes, unlike the second half in Holland and the second half against Argentina, where we played twice, but did not keep up our game. We wanted to show against Belarus and today that we can keep up the pace and continue the actions.

Serge Gnabry has an unbelievable class, he is dangerous for goal, plays with, opens rooms, occupies different rooms and is really ice cold in the end. Jonas Hector played very well, made many ways forward, especially intelligent ways of running, from outside to inside. So we could try to play from the center behind the ranks. He has created a lot of pressure and played smart. Leon Goretzka is a player who always somehow comes to the gate, a goal-scoring midfielder who often comes from the depth and is unpredictable.

All four lot pots have strong teams, the reigning European champions Portugal, for example, is three in Lostopf. But it's nice if we can play all three preliminary matches in Munich. Let's see who we get. We already had a very strong group in 2012 with Denmark, Holland and Portugal, that does not always have to be a disadvantage, because the concentration is very high.

I think it’s quite clear after this game that Tah needs to be dropped and Can on the bench or play in the midfield :whistling:

Goretzka is a catalyst to the team’s attack, especially when he gets into the box

he brings certain attributes to the attack, much like what a traditional 9 can bring

Can be a short term solution

Douchebag we can bring another destroyer type in Demme or slightly more elegant choice in Geiger

Goretzka will be used as a Thomas Müller role

and it’s becoming more apparent since 2018

He’s seen as an attacker more than midfielder in NT.

Loew prefers his midfielders to be better with the ball n somewhat creative. And Goretzka is not good at counter pressing n leaves too much space when he goes forward n attack. So he’s better off playing as attacker than at midfield

He brings some nice attributes as a front 3 in a fluid, interchanging system. And utilises his strengths in scoring n winning aerial duels.

When we are in full strength, I expect a front 3 with Goretzka, Gnabry and Sané.

don’t think Reus should start for the NT now , more like impact sub; Timo Werner and Brandt should be able to handle that role as well

not sure how Loew rates Havertz, where is Loew going to play him?

Agree, tah is a walking disaster as a defender, can definitely needs to be deployed in midfield as he offers steel, but has Hugh dicipline issues

So next games in March we already have Spain , loew says he hopes he can still get Portugal or Belgium.
We haven't Played Belgium for a while and in our last 15 matches we won 14 and drew one game against them. That might though change next time around.....
I would love to see us play Belgium.

Honestly why would we care? Euro wont get interesting before the quarters anyway.

3 home games in Munich is all that matters for now

That is a really great news and will ruin the Dutch user PuckVanHeel for some time now and again next summer. He will go on about how Germany bought that whereas his Netherlands are put down by dark forces. He is always very entertaining when a tourney comes around.

yeah I would like to see how we do vs Belgium too. Spain is a good match up.

with Nations League being a thing, there will be less and less friendlies in future. We should schedule them vs good teams. Now since we play Euro we should focus on Euros. For the WC, should go after South American friendlies and even African, we tend to have issues vs African teams.

Yesterday was the best performance we've had in a very long time. We started very well and even when we conceded the goal (against the run of play) we did not panic and were unlucky not to equalize quickly. This was a dominant performance. I really like the Kroos, Gundogan & Kimmish midfield. Goretzka was/is a beast and Klosterman was great. Looking like 2 out of 3 (or even 3 out 3) will most likely not be starters - Reus, Werner and Sane! Great options to have in the 2nd half. Great turnaround from the WC and Nations Cup disasters.

Yes, we don't doubt the quality this team has going forward. I don't think I'm exaggerating if I claim that Germany's arguably got the most talent going forward in Europe at the moment. The big worry is the mess of a defense though...

I mean, with Kimmich you've got a great 6 so if he's healthy and fit, he'll play that position, but are Kroos and Gundogan the answer when Germany will face tougher opposition than Belarus and Northern Ireland? Well, I have my doubts about their defensive work if I'm honest... :whistling:

And with Hector performing great yesterday, will Löw bring him to the Euro's next year, although in theory, he should not as he's banned Hummels from the NT because he wants "to give the younger players a chance", which makes it even more ironic to see the random inclusion of Sebastian Rudy in the squad for the latest games o_O

To be honest, there's no reason for having Schulz, Halsternberg, and Hector in the same squad for the Euro 2020. At the same time, we're witnessing Löw forcing Emre Can to play as a CB instead of giving "younger players" playing time lol. And players who are actually CBs

Now wait and see that Draxler miraculously will make the squad next summer :cautious:
