Did they award it To Davinson? It was an ugly goal that’s for sure.

“Quiet” was my way of being nice. Not worth being overly critical unless it’s something stupid like a headbutt or straight red card or blatant handball.

yea but we gave them the MF because we didn't have one. Tesillo was getting owned all game. Our team will get murdered in a counter attack against a better team

Its nice the strikers helped defend but the wingers are there to feed the #9 so we can score not to help the wingbacks defend. Morelos might be scared and really wanted that goal but come on man SHOOT AT GOAL !!

also we had 3 MFs? Couldn't tell because Diaz would lose the ball or one of the top 3 would shit their pants near goal and just pass it 10x instead of scoring.

I for one hate to see that shit if the coach is Colombian or not. That is some nightmarish Bolillo throw back. As much as I disliked Pekerman after the 2014 WC damn... at least his team could fking DeFEND !! The MF couldn't pass for shit but we had one

not winning because James isnt here isnt a good excuse. Not winning because Falcao isnt here isnt a good excuse. or Duvan this team plays like a kinder kicker team

He doesn't want to play a #10 fine.... them play a 4-4-2 but have a MF. Or a 3-4-3 but play at least 1 fking creative player in the MF who isnt Cuadrado

Often times I made critiques in the past that a “better” or “smarter” team will capitalize on mistakes we tend to make on consistent basis. I’ve been scoffed at here but when we get our pants pulled down I try my best to refrain from saying “I told you so”

There’s stuff today that happened where like you said a better team will capitalize on. To your point I feel like our attack did not do enough to force a mistake that would create an opportunity.

Let’s see how we do on Tuesday

How dare you talk like that to me Crzd; you should bow down and beg for forgiveness, hence I may spare you the night of the 28th.

I have to agree with you. I do get that same impression with him relying on defending not caring about attacking; he's an experienced coach and you think that he would have a much better understanding of his resources by this point. Especially since he's played so many matches this year alone.

Not scouting and calling way too few during call ups. He either calls injured players or is the John Madden curse himself as seems few players drop out every call up to injury with this guy

I have been thinking a lot about this since you posted it.

Not only do I think James and Quintero are the best at picking out players with their vision and passing prowess (during the run of play) but they are also being missed for their set pieces distribution.
Especially JuanFer who does a fantastic job on corners and FKs.
That aspect is important and needs A LOT of work without those guys healthy.
Maybe Uribe is the guy to pick up the slack but I don't see too many others that come close to those two players during critical dead ball situations.

Uribe on set pieces is a nice option. I can’t recall if he takes corners much? Cuadrado on corners has always been a good option in my eyes. I can’t recall any corners that went completely sideways. Outside of those two, I don’t know how guys like Diaz, Roger, Muriel would be able to handle set pieces or corners. Teams pretty much have Mina scouted now. We gotta find ways to be creative and get others who may have extra space get involved.

I sometimes miss seeing Humberto Mendoza’s long range free kicks. Those were fun to watch. Apologies for the tangent lol.

    Haha be nice.

If we ever converted this format to a podcast, CRZD would bring in the ratings. He’s our version of Arsenal Fan TV. I don’t know if anyone watches but it’s quite entertaining. Lol

Sounds like you're not a CQ supporter :p... one editorial note, James wasnt called for September friendlies due to injury not due to a technical decision. October friendly, yes, that was the odd one, no James call up. I do wish we carried a special AMF ala Cardona and slot him in behind the line of 3 forwards. Not a Jarlan fan but that's just me but I get what you mean.

Tonight, I expect more improvisation. Would still like to see our boys play with lots more intensity. The line of 3 -- Uribe--Barrios---Cuadrado, should make for a much better MF but we need a bit of that Colombian picardia. Any danger we posed was when we put the ball into space. Not that complicated of a thought. I wouldn't mind up front ---- Diaz (hoping Porto's Diaz shows up) --Morelos --- Alzate. Really just true attacking wingers and not 3 guys who are all keen on making the same move. Whether you dislike CQ tactics or not, what I didn't see much of is 'huevos'. Constant pressure in all the lines, which we saw in most of Copa and in some earlier friendlies but I didnt sense in these last 2-3 friendlies. Hoping we score early, win well and leave this year with some +++.

This is one of those matches that is a lose-lose-lose situation in all aspects.
Ecuador is a bad team at the moment. If we win people will be like who cares they are a bad team. If we draw or lose people will go crzd style ballistic..

Add in weather and field conditions that may not be ideal for good futbol along with too many experiments and I think I am just going to listen to it on Caracol Radio online and hope we just stay healthy.

haha "just going to listen to it"....old school Homie... haven't done that in ages. Weather here in NJ is actually decent. Wet but not miserably cold. If we win by 10-0, czd will def find a reason to hate the team. I still love watching the NT play. I've seen some good, bad and ugly versions of this NT but all in all I'm hoping the boys put out a good show and leave injury free.

Wrong. If we'll win 10-0 Crzd will say that we are on our way to become the world champions [emoji6]

Weather wise - it’s going to be chilly but not freezing. Temperature wise - it should be in the mid to high 40s with no rain.

Pictures and maybe some video to come later tonight :)

I understand what you guys are saying but 40s and 50s is not really ideal weather to me.

As Dusty Rhodes used to say, “baby, it was sold out for weeks and they were hanging from the rafters” LOL

On ticketmaster.com you can still buy tickets.
All the blue dots are available tickets for sale at face value.

As a fan sitting in the crowd - it sucks. For the players, it should be fine if there is no rain or heavy winds. For those who play in England, this is par for the course LOL

I like the starting lineup. Would prefer Lerma over Alzate who is wearing the #10 today

also Arias or Cuadrado as RB for Medina

    Lucumi starting :)

hope to see more of it and much less of the Murillo bro’s being called

Would imagine so, red bull stadium isn’t too hard to sell out. I Missed the window where tix were super cheap a few weeks back because I wanted to wait and see on the weather..barely any tix available now.
