They're not playing particularly well but somehow 2 nil up. They look like the Keystone cops at corners.
a little bit off topic.. but where does everyone buy their italian national team gear from? I usually order from soccer.com but looking to see if theres anything better.. gotta get that white jersey were wearing today ASAP
I usually get family to ship me stuff from Italy but other times i also use worldsoccershop.com Here's today's jersey https://www.worldsoccershop.com/shop/puma-italy-away-jersey-2020_A1036203
I know it's only Bosnia, but it's worth noting that Mancini has done a great job with this side after the Ventura disaster, going perfect throughout qualifying and playing good football. This side may not win the Euros but we should expect them to be competitive thanks in large part to the work Mancini has done.
Shawn Michaels plays for Bosnia... nice sweet chin music on Belotti.. no idea how that was only a yellow and not a red LOL
It's been a long time since we've been this consistent, sure we haven't played the greatest teams but these are the types of teams that we've struggled so much with in recent history.
The results have been good but they're not exactly setting the house on fire. Much better in that second half though. They clearly didntmiss Verratti, lol.
Same here, but I think he's improved as a coach in recent years, perhaps helped by spells abroad, and he seems to be the right man in the right place at the right time.
Also coaches are different for clubs and national teams, so maybe the national team is the right job for Mancini! At least that's what it is looking like at the moment, and I hope that it stays that way!
Key is that he is not trying to impose a Mancini system or philosophy. He is letting the players play.
It's been very good but as others said against weaker competition. I wish we could play a better team before the Euros we are can kinda gauge where exactly we are before meeting some of the bigger teams in the Euros in a one and done senario
Italy are Euro 2020 top seeds By Football Italia staff Italy have now secured their status as top seeds in the draw for Euro 2020 and will play their first three games in Rome. The Azzurri maintained their 100 per cent record in qualifying with this evening’s 3-0 victory away to Bosnia and Herzegovina. That result ensures Roberto Mancini’s men will be top seeds in the Euro 2020 draw, which takes place in Bucharest on Saturday November 30. It has another knock-on effect, which is that Italy are guaranteed to play their three group games at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. This tournament is going to be an itinerant one, with matches staged all over the continent, so home advantage is something to be appreciated. We already know that Italy will be in Group A, as they are one of the host nations. There will be in all 24 teams taking part, split into six groups of four, with the semi-finals and Final played at Wembley Stadium in London. Italy have qualified for Euro 2020 along with Belgium, the Czech Republic, England, Finland, France, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine.
We get the three home games in the group, but the knockout round we don't get the game in Rome. Tho I suppose it's the same for the other host teams where they wouldn't get to play home games in the knockout round unless England makes the semis in which game those games are at Wembley. Round of 16 games for us would be in London if we topped the group and in Amsterdam. Quarterfinals would be in Munich or Baku. Altho I suppose there's a senario where should we finish 3rd in the group, that we could get the quarterfinal game in Rome lol
The commentators mentioned there is a bit of a rift between Immobile and Belotti with Immobile mocking il gallo's goal celebrations.
I have tickets for the 2nd and 3rd Group Stage matches in Rome. It will be my first time seeing Italy play live. I know I am going to cry when the National Anthem comes on and the entire crowd is singing it. I am SOOOOOO excited.
I was there for the 1990 WC for the opening match against Austria and then the following one against USA. That opener with the flags flying, the fans roaring and the small red group of Austrians put in the corner of the stadium was something else. Enjoy it.
