I don't get it. Scoring three goals against Lithuania means he wasn't justly subbed out? If injury excuse was BS, then it is Sarri being weak for not confronting things head on. Ronaldo's form for Juve is far below his standard this season.

The team's form so far this season is far below its standards. We are winning off of individual performance. But as a team, we do not look good and consequently, the same goes for every player.

Since we're all in agreement that it was right to sub off Ronaldo given how shitty he has been, would it have been better for Sarri to have said he subbed him off because he's been shit? He used the injury as an excuse to play down controversy. Not only that but he has been spot on with the subs as both Douglas Costa and Dybala came on in successive matches and scored. There are things to critique Sarri on but this ain't it.

No, we do not all agree that Ronaldo was so shitty nor that he needed to be substituted. Shitty best describes how this team is playing overall under Sarri's tactics.

But Sarri substituted Dybala for Ronaldo and he scored the winner. Obviously, the coach is not all that incompetent.

He could have substituted Dybala for a number of players and we may have had the same result.

Ok but Ronny had a bad day and made errors on many plays. He wasn't really ever threatening other than one right footed shot that Donnarumma easily saved.

You can argue that he is a true “campione” and that he could score or resolve a game at any point in the match but as he continued, I didn't see that he will have scored or made a difference staying on.

Sarri's move by all accounts, at least at that point was brilliant.

Brilliant. Sarri. Neither deserve to be in the same sentence. Sarri is lucky to have a very talented team that he has yet to figure how to get to play like a team.

I'll agree with some here that Sarri has made good subs and they have made an instant impact as soon as they came on, but why doesn't he just start these guys? Costa, Dybala, Ramsay etc should all be starting, not being subbed in at the 80th minute. That's like subbing Messi in late and he scores then the coach looks like a genius... well of course he's going to make an impact, he's your best player!

Hasn’t Mandzukic been phased out until the transfer window in January?

It doesn’t seem like Dybala & Ronny can coexist and it hasn’t been a great partnership.

You can only play two forwards with maybe a withdrawn one and I’m not sure which other forward will have been able to come on and score. You should always put in a goal scorer in my opinion especially in a 0-0 game or when you are losing....

If Sarri has any sense, he would have put Mandzukic on the roster long time ago. Sarri will not play Dybala & Ronaldo together for fear that he gives up too much defensively. He is not the offensive genius many make him out to be.

Dybala, Higuaín and Douglas Costa have performed in attack. Ronaldo hasn't. Sarri isn't the reason that Ronaldo is losing the ball easily or can't beat his man of late. Given that the team has played like shit, results aside, for years now, Sarri has nothing to do with this issue. This is just another way for Allegri fanboys like you to try to pin this one on Sarri when Ronaldo is 100% to blame.

No one has explained how Sarri could have managed the present Ronaldo situation better. First, he showed he actually had the balls to sit Ronaldo who has been underperforming. Second, the substitutes came on and did better. Sarri comes out of this smelling like roses.

Exactly. If Sarri wants to play this system of possession-oriented, short passing football, why leave your some of your most technical players out? For the life of me I can't understand why we aren't starting three of Ronaldo, Pipita, Dybala and Douglas Costa along with our most technical midfielders. I get that he wants Matuidi on because Ronaldo isn't going to defend. However, Pjanic and Matuidi should be paired with a more technical player like Rabiot instead of Khedira.

No other top side plays so conservatively. We're getting the same, shit pragmatic football we had under Sarri.

He has played better in Azzurro than in bianconero.

    What does that tell you?
