Even though he only scored once in 5 games against us, Aa a fan of the the Quakes, I'm happy to seem him go.....:)

As a fan of the Serie A, I'm glad he is back in "il calcio che conta"!

It would be nice to see him at Bologna to do something good and help out Miha. He's always been a player focused on himself, so it be nice to see him do some good.

    What did he conquer exactly?

    They have no supporters shield

    No MLS Cup

    No Open Cup

    No Concacaf CL

If you use the UEFA model in measuring success, he won and conquered nothing.

Well he also scored 30 goals and 7 assists of his teams 58 goals this year. So he directly contributed to 64% of his teams goals and he also only played 29 games over the full season(missed 5 games).

Also in total he scored 52 goals and recorded 17 assists over 56 games played (2 seasons).

He conquered our imaginations. A number of his goals were definitely highlight material.

Yeah and all he did was complain about the "level of the league" while he made $8 million. His team didn't make the playoffs last year (which is how you are measured in MLS) and they were eliminated this year and came in 8th overall. That's not great at all.

If you use the Serie A mentality, Milan came in 5th and finished out of Europe in 2019 despite possessing one of the league’s third leading goal scorer in Krzysztof Piątek who scored 22 times between Genoa and Milan. They also got rid of their coach. No one is boasting about Piątek now and he is in a slump. They are in effect suffering from a failed 2019. Zlatan may have scored a lot of goals which is great and all but neither he or his team won nothing.

Would you buy him for what Milan paid?
It seemed like a steal at the time but doesn’t even look like their best striker ATM.

    Yes.

Players dont suddenly because shit because of a lack of ability. They look poor because of broken systems which was very much the case under the previous manager and his square peg round hole genius system.

He now has to find his confidence again. As a Roma fan you should see it well enough. Look at Smalling, look at Pastore etc. Right system + confidence. All of a sudden you have a top player again.

The Last two years the GaLaxy and their crooked team of 3/4 DP’s also looked and played like donkeys. They sacrificed ibra the Dos Santos twins and Alessandrini thinking they would win easily and then blew it and couldn’t even defend.

I could see Zlatan doing well at Napoli though but not at Bologna.

As for Krzysztof Piątek , I honestly think the Serie A defenders figured him out but time will tell if he turns into a goleador.

That's the major factor in determining a great striker in Serie A.

I don’t think he will last in Italy and he will probably be sold to an EPL club.

Piatek gets garbage service at Milan. He would be an easy 20 goal striker at any semi-competent team.

Read that Montolivo retired at 34 years of age as he did not play since May 2018. He said he felt resentment towards Milan’s new ownership when they took his captains armband away and gave it to Bonucci,

Genoa are a funny side. One season they look like a team and the next they have no clue with 2 many managers changes playing it's part.

When he was there they were creating chances and putting the ball in the box for him from crosses and pull backs. Hes not a complete player but he has a freakishly good nose for sniffing a goal. I'd put the burden of his issues on Milans limited play up to this point. They are improving slowly.

I think he tried but no takers. He may be too hurt for anyone to take a risk on him as he was always injured....

Monty was an absolutely garbage midfielder. Never knew how he became a player in the top flight.

Florenzi gives Insigne a hug after the Napolitano scored. Florenzi looked like a big player at that moment.
