Anyone else fear Rashford could end up playing too much football this season? Seems as though Solskjaer almost never rests him with him playing in the League Cup, PL and EL almost every game. I appreciate OGS having faith in him and giving him game time but he seems to be playing too much atm. Maybe any United fans on here can tell me more though as I'm not an expert on them.

It seems like he’s playing more because we’re not used to good players playing Europa League football but he’s not actually had that many minutes. Especially compared to his teammates in CL football.

He’ll likely not play in the final two group games. Would be more worried about Sterling who City are so reliant on and who has played so much over the last few years.

So, we’re now down Sterling, Henderson and Delph for the Montenegro game. Maybe a replacement will be called up but I’m not convinced, Henderson & Sterling will be back for the Kosovo game so it wouldn’t surprise me if Southgate doesn’t add.

    It'll most likely be Rice + Winks + Maddison/Ox.

And Barkley. I think it's interesting though. Might throw up some some new combinations in midfield, and we only need 1 point from 6 so it's a relatively low-risk situation.

Well, he's earn himself a rest against Montenegro at least.

The criticism of harry kane on some forums is mind boggling . Hes as good a goal scorer in world football. His movement and build play is second to none

I wouldn’t worry about it to be honest, English players will always get criticism on any forum regardless, it just goes with the territory.

    True .... don’t think he’s that prolific though / per chances ..

He looks to be taking around 1 out of every 5 currently

Kane is quality. Give him service and he will score, he is one of the best finishers in Europe.

Southgate going to start a very young team apparently.. I take this to mean that Trent, Winks, Tomori, Maddison will be starting.. I hope so..

    Pickford
    TAA-Tomori-Maguire-Chilwell
    Maddison-Rice-Winks
    Rashford-Kane-Sancho

Would be very happy with that

I wouldn't count on it. To southgate, 27 is young

He's already said that it's likely to be a younger team than against Spain, when our average age was just over 23. Could be Stones for Tomori or Mount for Maddison, but on the whole the team above doesn't look unlikely.

Also, this is utter bollocks. Nobody can accuse him of neglecting youth.

    Excuse copy and paste

In 2019, Kane has scored just 14 goals in all competitions for Tottenham; that is indisputably low by his standards.

Nine were scored in open play while the other five came from the penalty spot. That means 35 per cent of all of Kane's goals this year have come from penalties. In 2017 he scored 46 goals excluding penalties in all competitions for Tottenham and 29 in 2018.

To put it into further context, he has four fewer goals in open play than his team-mate Son Heung-min this year, eight fewer than Wolves striker Raul Jiminez and 16 fewer than Sadio Mane.
Without counting penalties, Kane would have four goals this season in all competitions – the same number as Mason Mount, Wesley and Ashley Barnes.

Penalty duties normally fall under a striker's remit so are bound to supplement goal returns each season, but there appears to be a worrying over reliance on them in Kane's situation.

Scoring penalties is still a great skill otherwise all players would take them

Reports emerging now that Sancho wants to leave Dortmund. Being honest, I am a little worried by his mentality here. Dortmund have given him a lot and are a great place to develop as a youngster. I also think that whilst Favre was very harsh on him the other day, his current dip is a lot to do with him. I guess I just feel that when you do have a dip/slight struggle at a club, wanting to move is not the answer. I also feel that whilst he is clearly a huge talent, he is inconsistent and can go missing at times. As a result of this, I feel a move to the prem where he'd be hugely in the spotlight given his pricetag and reputation, could be too soon.

The story when he started the season on fire was that he was probably going to leave next summer anyway. I don't see how anything has changed. He's not giving up or reacting to a dip, this was always the plan.

As long as it's not utd. That would ruin him. He needs to stay abroad. The epl would destroy his talent. Somewhere like Atletico Madrid would be a good step. Maybe inter or Juventus
