My personal experience is with a former Eintracht player, and upon asking about policy at the Premier league, they cut deal with health ensurance providers to cover wages past the mandatory sick leave pay.

According to immigration sites Spain also has a limited sick leave wage coverage so I figure the same thing applies.

These people are employees, and no club is stupid enough to sign a "if you say ouch, you get paid the full contract" clause.

Which insurance company is going to cover +€400,000 a week?

    Please, again provide proof.

A private one, obviously. Do you think players don't have health insurance?

    Sickness Benefit in Spain
A worker, being registered with the Social Security office
may receive subsidised pay if they are unable to work for
    reasons of sickness.
There are a number of scenarios that revolve around how the illness
arose and the length of time necessary before the worker can return to
    his place of employment:
Common illness 0 - 3 days No payment
Common illness 4 - 16 days Employer pays
Common illness 17 days + Social Security
Work induced Injury 2 days + Social Security
So the employer is liable to pay the subsidised rate of pay only in the
scenario where the illness was a common illness unrelated to work and
then only as between the 4th and 15th days of the illness from when the
    Social Security will pay.
The Social Security will pay the subsidised rate of pay until the worker is
healthy enough to work again up to a maximum of one year though this
may be extended by 6 months if the doctor feels that the worker will
    recuperate after this time.
At the end of 18 months typically the doctor will either consider the
patient to be permanently incapable of working or will approve discharge
    from sickness benefit.

There is absolutely nothing that suggests football players are being paid in full when long term injured. Stop believing fairy tales.

I remember Sebastian Deisler also dealing with wage cuts when he was out of action dealing with depression.

I actually was one so I actually understand how insurance works for a player (our contracts weren't guaranteed).

All you have done is provide generic information and heresay.

All I am requesting is a source that confirms your claim that insurance pays Bale's entire wages. Please share one.

I never said that insurance pays Bale's entire wages. He hasn't even been injured long enough for that eventuality to happen. If he does plan to sit out the season injured though, he will face wages cuts. That's basically the gist of it but I have to break it down in crumbles for you to get it.

It's basically also standard that clubs get a compensation if the player gets injured during international duty (Bayern lobbied for this one when Robben came back crocked for half a season from the national team).

It depends on employment contract. Social in insurance pays only up to a certain max which I believe is no way near a good football player salary. Many good employment contracts then pay full salaries out of their budget.

Bottom line, I believe real madrid pays full salary when player is injured, especially if injury is job related -I know companies that dont cover if you get injured during your leisure activities, in this case it would be if bale got injured playing golf - and even when it is long term and insurance kicks in, that still covers only part of it, real madrid still covers most.

We cut corners with Lopetegui's compensation so I am absolutely sure that we have policies in place for cases like Bale.

Here is where the confusion began...

Hence why I requested proof of insurance covering this wages. This is not the case from my experince.

I strongly doubt we would even consider paying whatever the premium would cost for players who are highly susceptible to injury earning hundreds of thousands of euros weekly.

I don't even believe thata feasible.

Who gives 2 f*cks if insurance helps out or not this is a ridiculous conversation. This guy is constantly injured & Real Madrid pays ridiculous amounts of money for him to be a Real Madrid player.

Nobody likes this guy & he needs to leave the club. It’s that simple.

Even if he is not getting paid, we are missing out on a key player which also is worth something.

Are we really missing out. Have you seen Rodrygo. We need a legit LW to replace Hazard but seems like we've already upgraded Bale

Bale completely fine in training with Wales.

I wish he had gone to China this summer.

Shame how things have turned out. He scored some great goals for us in finals and although 'legend' is too strong of a word, he could at least be remembered more for those.

Now he'll be remembered as a big asshole who prefered China money instead of dignity in some other European club. And they say the Brazilians are the ones with a poor mentality...

I mean, even Zizou said that Bale is not injured - he's simply not fit enough. So him training with Wales is not a big deal if we assume Zidane was telling the truth.

He is not even letting them train .. that says a lot..
He is sidelining both James and Bale from the squad.

the reality is Zidane does not want to deal with those two players

I think ZZ is being typically stubborn with James but Bale was starting games. And as much as Rodrygo is a great prospect, he isn't the answer to carrying that RW spot full time. There had to have been something else that happened to sideline Bale.

By all reports, this seems like Bale being a little baby yet again. He was starting, then he got "injured", then he went to London, and since then hasn't played here. After what happened in the summer, Zidane integrated him back in the squad, and he was a starter. I don't think the club is holding him out here.

That's bullshit, Hazard hasn't been fit enough to be in the starting eleven for even one minute since he joined the team. And yet here we are.

And I'm gonna say it now, this can't be a good example to set for the young impressionable players like VJ, Rodrygo, and Jovic.

They got enough pressure trying to perform without worrying that if they so much as look at Zidane the wrong way their career will be over.

Juanfe Sanz: hopefully this will never happen, but lets imagine you getting injured with the national team, taking 29 days off without training for your club, then go back to the national team and train on the first day. Would Dani Carvajal find that weird?

Carvajal: I think it is not worth responding to you

Tense body language from Carvajal in his response

That was a great answer from Carvajal.. this guy is on a mission to ask all Real Madrid players hypothetical questions related to Bale..
The other day was about leaving early and Carvajal had the patience and respect to answer that question then..
