My post was meanly about whether a loan was as ridiculous as some believed it was when Lampard failed to play CP for an entire month and you proceeded by bringing up stuff that was way out of the discussion range, so I had to stop reading half way. For whatever it is worth, it was clear CP's camp weren't happy about his situation a month ago(which is normal) and even CP himself didn't sound too excited about his situation when he was asked whether Lampard had told him why he wasn't playing at all..he claimed he didn't tell him anything about his play-time. But I'll end this here because I'm too happy about how CP is currently playing right now.. I have no interest in meaningless straw-man argument, so let's move on.
I think he was worried by how hard he hit the post which looked pretty bad at the time. TBH I was a bit worried as well.
Being not happy, and not honoring your word by "forcing" a move are not the same. When you suggest that a player would "force" a move then you are suggesting that player lacks the character to honor their word. The Pulsics have honor and integrity and I took exception to you impugning that. Those are your words not an argument I made up. All the rest of the stuff I brought up were not strawmen, they are ridiculous takes you have posted in this thread.
That was my opinion when I stated they would force a move if his playing time didn't improve..I have no idea about all this talk about me saying CP and his family are dishonest or not honorable... Strawman argument at its finest. I'll be the bigger man here and move on...I have no interest in your useless littlle battle because I'm too happy for CP right now..
Really? Maybe I’m seeing the wrong player but looked to me like Mount was one of the first to join CP in the celebration.
You guys read way too much into this kinda stuff. Someone said the same on his second goal at Burnley, yet he was the first to go to Pulisic to celebrate with him. He did the same celebration on both goals. He puts his arms up and tilts his head down as if maybe saying "yes!" or something. It's bad enough how everyone tries to point to every little flaw of potential competition for playing time to our guys, but parsing body language and suggesting they're somehow unhappy that our guy scores or whatever is ridiculous.
Players demands transfer/loan all the time..I find nothing wrong with that....It's usually based on playing time. CP is playing a lot now, so everybody is happy. Straw-man argument at its finest.
Lampard asked if he feels vindicated in how he's brought Pulisic along after leaving him on the bench earlier in the season: "I don't think it's vindication; it's more that Christian came from another league and didn't have a great break, etc. And I think he played some games early on, and the pace of the Premier League is tough for any player, it's been proven time and time again. "But with Christian I always believed that he had huge talent and was going to be a huge player for us. And he's absolutely showing that. I thought he was first class today as he has been recently. Energy, moving with the ball, slipping past people, working off the ball, and the quality in getting in areas again -- he's scoring in and around the 6 yard box which I think is a huge thing for any wide player. "The only frustration is he comes off with a bit of an injury, which he was going to get subbed off for before he scored his goal. He's got a bit of a hip issue, but I'm hoping it's not too bad. Because the way he's in full flow at the minute, it's great to see."
No you can put in a request for a transfer, but to go all Dembele and "force" a move is dishonorable. I actually work under contract and it is pretty standard that both parties honor the terms. I can ask for a transfer, but if I am turned down on that request and attempt to "force" a transfer, I can lose my license. As can every other person in my profession. I get it though, I am fully aware of how honor and integrity mean very little anymore and it is all about what feels good. One of the reasons I like Pulisic is they are not those type of people. They are honorable and they keep their commitments, not sure how that makes them bootlickers.
He's in uncharted territory. Have we ever had a Yank score in 3 consecutive games in the PL? I don't think even Dempsey managed that feat.
Yes it was just after the game ended and the players were high fiving and such and Willian hugged him and did the USA chant and they both laughed.
