Puli playing more centrally here. Maybe trying to take over. He launched this attack with eventually ended in a corner

I bet you Lumpy is watching this match thinking: Pulisic is $hitting the bed, CHO go out there and help Mount and Willian get on the board.

A team of guys who can run fast straight at goal and shoot. Very poor passers of the ball.

Puli making a run into the box, creates space for a cross, gets knocked out for a corner

He's been Chelsea's best player, which really isn't actually a compliment, as everyone else has been crap

Alonso having one of the worst games I've seen in a while.

Holy crap this game is making my urge to kill rise.

Alonso drives into space (good!), sees a WIDE OPEN Puli making a run on his left - super easy pass into an incredibly dangerous attacker who's got space - and instead choosed to make an insanely difficult cross all the over like 4 people, and the hope that the attacking can somehow curl past someone and make an impossuble finish at an impossible angle.

Puli gets into the box, somehow Blind gets it away on a bounce, but may have used his arm? But it also probably his was chest

He got an assist? Don't you get an assist when you draw the penalty?

I’m loving this CP play. He looks much more sturdy and assertive. It’s great to see. He’s looking more and more like Hazard. *ducks*

was their most dangerous attacker and was surrounded by chaos in his midfield for the most part. drew a penalty, a corner and could have had a key pass. pretty damn good imo. also did yeoman's work helping alonso on the left.

CP has been arguably the best player for Chelsea this half.

I counted 37 instances where a Chelsea mid was too slow getting the ball of their foot and killed a potential attack.

wish his teammates would look for him on his open runs. so many times he's had space and an easy pass would get him an attacking opportunity and they either look off him or lose the ball

Conventional wisdom is that you're down so you should bring on offensive players. But I think the better play would be to bring on a ball-winner like Kante to give Chelsea more of a foothold in cm and be able to start w/ possession higher up the field. Play him between Kovacic and Jorginho. Either move up Mount to the wing for Willian (who's been poor) or just sub him out directly. I'd prefer the former.
