No, he is a victim who chooses to handle it in a certain way. Kudos to him but you can’t expect everyone who is racially abused to respond in the same way. You seem like a definite part of the problem though. And on this idiotic note, let’s move on from this topic before it gets ugly. Thanks.
That's two examples I have given with concrete evidence of effect. They were never abused again because the fans didn't get the response they wanted. Perhaps we should be coaching the players to handle it like this if they receive it instead of reacting like Mario. What do you think is going to happen to him in the next game or a game at some point soon when another handful of idiots do the same thing? But me pointing this out means I'm part of the problem. Funny guys on here.
Yeah you're done here too, cause you're too thick to understand that you are in no position to tell a victim of racism how to react. Go back to whatever shit hole you came from.
Ask yourself this, why did the black player assume the racist monkey chants were directed at him? Talk radio argument, that... SMH. The world really has gone mad.
You're really stupid. What you're saying defends racist behavior and enables mistreatment. Again, cowards like you are strongest in front of keyboards. Never.. I repeat never in front of another person.
It's Italy, their stadiums are basically half empty most of the time anyways. From poverty to criminality; it's actually high key ironic they would even attempt to look down on anybody.
So, as expected, one side is being realistic (and called all the predictable names) and one side talks about utopic things while stroking their own egos for being so ********ing WOKE. It's impossible to discuss with these people. Has anyone here been called literally Hitler yet? They always go there. Some people here remind me of that Greta memegirl. How dare you? YOU did this, YOU did that, YOU are Hitler, I am literally shaking where's my soy milk? Then you ask for a realistic solution and they can't give you one, because pointing fingers and virtue-signaling is the only thing their NPC brains can do.
People have literally suggested 4 or 5 simple solutions that should have been implemented a long time ago, what the ******** are you on about? I'm not even getting paid to tackle this issue, and I came up with a better solution than logos and banners.
Actually you’ve been given solutions, the most commonly brought up being the stadium ban, you’re just ignoring them because it looks like you’ve entered this convo just to make the post above to show us all how much of a big brained anti PC you are; We get it friend, you are not woke, you own a Jordan Peterson book about cleaning your room and you don’t think soy milk , we all think you’re very very cool.
BREAKING: Hellas Verona ban head of their Ultras group for 11 years after comments about Mario Balotelli— Sky Sports News (@SkySportsNews) November 5, 2019
I'd like to congratulate the mods for letting this discussion go on for as long as it did. I think that's a pretty good indication that this forum is a really bad example for this supposed pervasive PC culture. On the other hand, the discussion could've been far more productive than it actually was. Oh well. Your post is problematic as well though. Does JP really have anything to do with the poster you're referring to? Unless I'm missing something, you've made some assumptions about what he reads and what he doesn't drink when those things really have very little to do with the subject. I think it's pretty unnecessary. Cards on the table, I actually like JP. A lot of the subculture surrounding him involves critically examining all ideas, including his. As for soy milk, it gives me abdominal pain so damn it to hell.
During a youth game in Italy on Saturday, a mother of an opposing player racially abused a 10-year-old, calling him a “black s***.” In response, both teams will take a ‘symbolic gesture’ against racism next Saturday....by painting their faces black. https://t.co/wLdScgB9hI Only in Italy.
What's unrealistic is you and the guys that agree with you being this tough and all "this is not racism, trust me" in front of a guy with the shape and size of Balotelli. It's not virtue signaling. Just call players sons of b*tches like a regular person would. Somebody that grabs the racist abuse and monkey noise when he's mad at somebody has some feelings deep inside that he couldn't wait to get out.
This thread certainly got interesting lol. Anyway looking forward to watching Ajax vs Chelsea later today.
Even the most out-of-touch posters are in agreement that racism is problematic. On that premise alone, I think it is possible to have a productive discussion. It's just typically very, very poorly handled. The wrong people making the wrong arguments.
Lol i like how the defense of jack assery nowadays is calling people social justice warriors or complaining about a PC society. How dare you insinuate that a black athlethe not be called a monkey you weak sjw! Snowflake!!!
I see this happen a lot on the internet, and it doesn't help that public figures that aren't even necessarily right-leaning make it out to be a bigger problem than it actually is. Universities tend to take the brunt of it, but otherwise, a lot of people (e.g., in the workplace) always speak in this hush-hush tone as if the twitter bigots are right behind them at all times ready to go cancel culture on their ass if they speak their mind. Unfortunately, I can't say it hasn't affected me personally.
It is one thing not knowing what to do. It is another thing doing what you know you should not be doing. Poor behavior isn't excused based on not having answers or solutions on how to fight it.
We've had multiple people here say that these people aren't racists: Wed have to discuss this at a length that I wouldn't want. But one person losing his temper and making a mistake is a slip up and I can talk about that vs this shit across the country on a weekly basis is a legit problem.
