both played very well. klf only played the first half. [his replacement was very good too]. klf was everything i expected at the u20 wc - quick, difficult to defend, making his markers fall over, and threatening the goal. he put one cut back on a platter for his teammate, but it was skied. ...the u19s (many of them 16 & 17 year olds) make klf just look so much better. It must be clear to him and his coaches that his advantages are heavily weighted toward the physical, and he’s going to need more time to develop to play against men. sad fact? he may never get there. [commentator suggested that reyna’s super teammate muokoko (sp?) may have developed the habit of ‘out physicaling’ his u17 opposition last year. he had several hard touches in the game.]

Playing today in Prague against Slavia's U19 in UEFA Youth League. In fourth minute was set free on left side, shot, but over the bar from about 18 yards out. Announcers note only non-Spanish player in starting eleven today....So far looks good out wide.
And he scores! At the start of second half. Slavia midfielder with bad giveaway, and Fuente in alone in on goal. Curls it into net. Barcelona up 1-0. Few minutes later and Barcelona scores again. Now up 2-0. Stick a fork in Slavia....Nils Mortimer with that second one.
Fuente with a second and Barcelona's fourth in the 74th minute. Turns in box after taking center and tucks it into essentially empty net. Defender blew that one too. But Fuente in right spot...Definitely one of the more noticeable, active, skillful players on a Barcelona side loaded with talent...Slavia looking very pedestrian....This guy could truly be the leader of U.S. Better skill set than Pulisic...Subbed out in 81st minute. Praised by announcers...
He looks physically dominant this year (not the case last year). If he follows the growth path for similar players, he will make the move up to Barca B at some point this season. I think he's ready for it.
Steps up and scores a penalty as a captain should. https://t.co/uDrTijrHwU— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) October 27, 2019

Highlights from the weekend are in this article: https://www.fcbarcelona.es/es/futbo...-reencontrarse-con-la-victoria-en-la-liga-6-0 Konrad scored a penalty and a back post header.
He was our youngest at the U20s right? though that showed and he quite a ways to go physically. Really excited and happy to read about his good season so far.
Yep. To me, the best indicator of future success is playing up. That will cancel out early maturity and force a player to overcome deficiencies. Young as he is, I think he needs to continue to play up to keep his status as "rising star".
At pretty much any other academy in the world I'd agree but how loaded are Barca and how many guys stay on to play at Barca B for a season or two before joining other clubs? Playing up would be mighty impressive but is playing with his age group there an indication of a negative on his potential?
