It's the most glorious time of the year.

    Let's talk about it.

Miles Robinson and Mark Anthony Kaye were both lost to injury this week. Jozy Altidore's skipping out of camp for some meaningless friendly looks even wiser in retrospect

    Let's go Mets!!

The Eastern Conf will end up NYCFC vs Atlanta. While NYRB might beat Philly, its chalk all the way in the end.

    The West is more complicated:

If Ibram plays up to potential, the Gals could knock off LAFC, which otherwise is clearly the best team.

How did Real Salt Lake right their ship? They were putrid early on.

And is Seattle that good? Did we just get them on a real downer?

Watching the NYRB v Philadelphia game. It’s been a truly entertaining game between two attacking teams playing attractive soccer. I wish DC could play like this.

And it pains me to say that.

I know. They do this strange thing called. Scoring goals.

I'm enjoying this years edition of MPF though.

Yup. Even when we crap the bed as bad as we did this year, it's still fun to watch some good MPF.

During the extra time, Lalas commented on the fact that RBNY was up 3-1 and had spit the bit, he said, and I quote, "that's so Metro", I almost absolve Lalas of all his sins -- almost.

I enjoy a good RBNJ collapse as anyone else but I have to say it just doesn't do it for me this year. (Maybe next year's RB collapse will feel different, we''l see.)

We failed in a most humiliating way. RB actually put in an effort in an entertaing match. We should aspire to more than be happy they failed as well.

As long as NJ and LAG lose, I don't care how DC does.

LA v LA this week should be highly entertaining, at least.

So you're not here for the sport, you're here for the tribalism!

I want DC to do well. I also want to throw the Red Bulls down the well and set the Galaxy on fire so that I get to urinate on their ashes.

You can have both (well maybe not the first part).

For the LA derby I would normally go for LAFC, but I can't stand Vela and his "little fake priest" attitude. I will take Ibra all day long, as far as Galaxy end up losing either in the following round (if they play RSL) or in MLS Cup (at that point it will be irrelevant against whom)

No one should ever root for the Galaxy.

So worst case result -- Seattle v. Galaxy. Besides rooting for career ending injuries, what do you do?
