Well, since only three teams can be relegated, that kind of prediction will give you a better track record than Nostradamus ;)

How is he playing? The stats say he has played in 10 games and has yet to get a goal or assist.... but as a left back that doesn't mean too much. Can anyone give an accurate assessment of his play defensively?

I did not see him today but saw his stats published someplace and read a few reviews. Seemed he had a good game. But that's all hearsay, so if you don't hear from me again, I'm in gitmo.

Couldn't watch this one, but he's getting positive reviews. He was able to control Yuri Ribeiro, a young Portuguese wingback/winger who seems to have some nice upside, so our guy got good marks.

Yeah he was solid today in 2nd half when I watched. Looked like the manager Paul Cook wanted him to stay home more this match as they were playing Forest which hadn't lost since August. They got the much needed 1-0 win and Robinson went 90. He had some good defensive plays and about the only time he did get forward in 2nd half he whipped in a pretty good cross that was headed over. Lovitz would have gotten toasted by Ameobi if he was playing LB for Wigan.

Yeah but Amoebi is playing forward on Forest's left, no?

Yeah but he was on Antonee's side on a few of their offensive forays probably on a counterattack as Robinson was always back on Wigan corner kicks

They lost at the death to Holmes's Derby 1-0 (Duane not involved). And with this Wigan drops to 19, just above Miazga's Reading.

He's in WhoScored's Championship Team of the Month. Doing well on both offense and defense.

Fair question. He has gotten looks. But a fair question based on form.

will be interesting to see if he does. Guess is no, but also happy for him he seems to play in good form. Has t always been that way no?

Robinson was pretty bad in his early appearances, but it's not like the guys playing instead of him have been any better over the past year.

He was called up for the Gold Cup expanded roster, but did not make the final cut.

Sarahan called him up frequently. He was on the field against France.

I think him not being called up with Lovitz being called up is one of Berhalter's biggest mistakes, given the position LB and his age.

Regardless of how much better we get as a soccer nation, it might be a long time before we can ignore a LB starting week in and week out for a Championship squad. He played well enough on loan for Wigan to want to buy him. I would agree that he didn't shine, but with where the program is at and how far away we are from Qatar.... I think a little faith in him would be rewarded.

Sure he had an injury and he's a little tactically naive, but given our other options... even with Dest... I think he should be apart of the team moving forward.

At 22, he's not someone that has to be a Championship lifer. With all the money moving into the Premier league it's more likely he gets bought by an upper-tier championship team and gets promotion that way. Premier league teams are far more likely to buy foreign talent for the wingback position than they are for say CB it seems like to me.
