My understanding is that Veracruz has not paid their players... The players threatened to not play today in protest, haven't been following the news lately but I think that the owners agreed to pay the players?

However, in a way to still protest and show their discontent they weren't going to play for the first 3 minutes.

There was also news about there being a player strike, since a few players mentioned that they were supporting the decision of the Veracruz players to not play today

 

Veracruz sounds like 85% of the clubs in El Salvador always behind on payment.
