The second-ever ISF Socca World Cup kicks off on October 12 in Crete, Greece, and Team USA is looking to improve on its 2018 quarterfinals finish.

The thing that caught my eye was the names of two of the squad members:

    Robbie Findley & Lamar Neagle

    This competition isn't FIFA-sanctioned.

The squad (plus one opening they were trying to fill before the tournament):

    Goalkeeper: Andrew Weber

Defenders: David Paul, Jon Guse and Benjamin Haugland

Midfielders: Mohamed Salama, Selemani Baruami, Lamar Neagle

Forwards: Scott Crandall, Robbie Findley, Danny Arrubla, Chris Ramsell

They beat Slovakia 3-1 yesterday and lost to Kazakhstan 2-1 today.

Follow the squad on Twitter at @TeamUSA6v6.

    6 v 6 World Cup.

    Robbie Findley.

Bob Bradley thought it was wise to start Robbie Findley in two FIFA World Cup matches.

    Out in the knockout round:

It’s the end of the road for the boys in Greece. A tough 2-0 loss to Russia in the round of 16 means the World Cup dream is over. Thank you all for your support. The whole group felt the love and are disappointed we couldn’t deliver for the US but we’ll be back

What does Findley playing in this have to do with 2010?

The man has gone from starting in the FIFA operated men's World Cup to the IFC Socca operated men's World Cup.
Take from this what one will.
    PEACE!
