Sacramento MLS Expansion Superthread

I've seen this statement.

I've not seen the team making any announcement other than a 4pm party.

A reporter mentioned the 10:30am press conference. That's like a league press conference featuring Sac Republic - just like the other expansion announcement press conferences.

 

Hey, grown up mature adult type, what do think the party is for, then?

It does not get more officially unofficial than that. Or should that be unofficially official? Hmmm....

It appears the MLS Cup trophy will be at Solomon's Deli on Monday morning before the announcement. Not foreshadowing at all, right?

 

OK, the doom jokes were funny for a while, now it's getting ridiculous. The annoucement was official and it wasnt like any other because the Republic brand is actually entering MLS and not some generic team.

There's no way they would schedule this press conference and after party just to announce that Don Garber saved 15% with GEICO. Or is there?

So the announcement will probably be a NWSL team.

 

There is an Al Pacino movie where the cops send a letter to all these wanted people that they have won free Yankees tickets and when they show up to get them they all get arrested.

Might be Sea of Love. Unsure.
