Gotta give credit where it's due. Even if he never cracks a Bundesliga lineup again, still a heck of an achievement. Personally, I never came close, despite having made several posts on BigSoccer over the years.

I told you guys he would be getting minutes in the Bundesliga earlier in this thread but everyone disagreed and wants to hate on the guy like he´s pathetic or something....i don´t get it.

    is he ronaldo? no.

but why create a cloud of negativity around the guy...even if its just online???

I for one expected big things from him the first time i saw him in MLS....and its still a possibility.

Really, he’s just no good. Like at all. Not in a “he might come good” way kind of bad. But in a “this kid ain’t ever going to deliver” not good.

you a big Zardes fan? That’s his absolute, will never reach it because he’s not at technical as Gyasi, ceiling.

the past few weeks of his career have been his pinnacle to this point.

why not celebrate that and be optimisitic?

if this is still the pinnacle of his career in a few years....then fine.

I didn’t watch Shelton play as much as NYCFC and KC fans, but when I saw him play CF his hold up play impressed me. Obviously, his finishing ability is poor.

Remained on the bench for the duration in a 1-0 home loss to Augsburg.

Paderborn have 1 win from their first 11 and are 5 points below the relegation playoff place, 6 points from safety.

And to demonstrate why Paderborn is going down, it finished 3-3.

Probably the only way he will get to see the field. They don't even sub him into games.... he just gets splinters from always riding the pine.

not surprising if one is honest his German adventure pretty much amounted to OL/5th division play with just a bit in 1BL/2BL.
Only played 6 1st team games in 1 season and a half with 0 starts.

I'm actually surprised he ever even stepped foot into a Bundesliga match. He can always say, "I played in the Bundesliga" - so that's kinda neat.

He was on $120,000 before he left. Can't imagine he's done much to raise that.

Disappointing that he didn't succeed, but at least he had the balls to try.

As the saying goes, "better an oh shit than a what if".
