I don't believe Rocco B. Commisso is all that naive about the USSF and/or US soccer as a rule. He has been in the USA since forever and even played college soccer. He saw the coming and going of the NASL, ASL, USL , MLS and NASL2. He is also worth $5.1 billion so and these guys always complain on how much "they lose" .

I agreee that he is holding on to the name and may be playing some type of game with the federation.

 

While I do agree the money lost is a drop in the bucket it's telling that he's saying these things now. It just seems he's lining up excuses to fold the team.

 

I'm trying to figure out how D.C. United "killed" him. Briefly started with the team back in '09. Plagued by injuries and was unhealthy to start matches, therefore United released him afterwards. No one knew/forgot about him when he was with us. He's about the same level of Nana Attakora with name recognition, tbh.

However, NISA hasn’t yet received an application from the Cosmos. Drop dead date from USSF for Fall 2020 is Nov 1st. If the Cosmos apply to NISA, their application will be considered by the board & voted on. There is a board meeting in November where applicants will present
