Maybe keeping him fresh for the Atleti match. We got CL coming up next week as well, nobody is trying to burn out the players before the holidays.

Isco and Modric both trained normally yesterday with their teammates, hope to see them play a part today.

Match every 3 day so its good to take a break a little bit for Bale.

Apparently, there will be players rested across the board. Bale not called up for rest.

Watching the last 4 or 5 games I'm not seeing how Asensio would have made a difference, perhaps I'm viewing things too much through the filter of last season but I can't say he clearly would have made the team more dangerous in attack. Perhaps we need to loan him out for a season to understand a bit better what he could bring to the squad?

There’s nothing Asensio would have been able to do that would’ve unlocked the opponents’ defences. Perhaps his long range shooting might have helped, but the rest of skill-set wouldn’t have been massively helpful.

Vinicius and Rodrygo make Asensio obsolete.

We pretty need to plan better. Two veterans (Hazard, Bale) and three youngsters (Brahim, Vinicius and Rodrygo).

We don't need anyone else besides these unless we're replacing one. For instance, replacing Bale with Neymar.

What sorcery is Lucas Vasquez using?

Literally immune to injury while our entire team seems highly susceptible.

He took an anti injury vaccine.

Side effects lack of talent, being clueless on the pitch and thinking you are Ronaldinho

Playing him is almost like playing an injured player.

Well, yes. I can’t seriously believe anyone out there thought that we subbed a goalkeeper and a defender at half time, while we are down 2 goals, because they aren’t playing well. 2 defensive changes (one of them a GK !) when we are 0-2 down. Come on, of course they were forced. No coach is wasting 2 subs like that.

I don't know how our entire fitness, health and medical staff aren't sacked and looking for work at local grade schools.

This isn't coincidence. You literally can't be the bad on accident.
