News: The Canadian Premier League announces Championship format for the 2019 seasonDetails ⬇️https://t.co/wftwr2fJSA— Canadian Premier League (@CPLsoccer) June 21, 2019 If one team wins both the spring and fall Season, the second team with the best overall record over both seasons will play in the final. #canPL— John Molinaro (@JohnMolinaro) June 21, 2019
Is this right? From the article: So let's say Cavalry wins the Spring and the Fall but whoever has the next best record over the year gets the Fall berth. So that 2nd team would get to choose which leg to host? Am I reading too much into "recipient of the Fall berth"?
Good question and Inthink the league needs to clarify Scenario 1 Cavalry-Spring Forge-Fall Forge choose (Fall has more games than spring) Scenario 2 Cavalry wins both Second best record on aggregate advance to Championship *Cavalry should be the one choosing Sportnet John Molinaro said as much. The league's memo was no good at all

Calgary has to count themselves very lucky to still be in this. They could easily be down by three or more. I get the frustration but Borges was foolish to lash out like that and earn the red. Hamilton will miss him in the second leg. That crowd was what I'd like to see from the CPL. 10 846 is the biggest crowd in league history except for the first match where tickets were free. Great to see for such an important game.
The king of the North has been crowned! Forge FC has won the CPL Championship 2-0 on aggregate. Hamilton will represent Canada at the 2020 CONCACAF League.
Good game. Fun crowd. Calgary was a bit unlucky not to level things up but congratulations to Hamilton.
