If you can find Flor de Caña 18 years is a very good Rum and not that expensive for the age. It is delightful. Also, you cannot go wrong with Zacapa 23 or Zacapa XO, but they are more expensive.
The Triangle is used for cheap Clippers parking ($3). They have a monopoly or near-monopoly on cash parking for weekday day games.
I’ve had both the Flor de Cana 12 and 18. I liked the 18 on ice and the 12 for mixing. I actually got free Zavapa samples going through ATL one time. It was great!! Mt. Gay XO is also pretty good.
I've been to a dozen clippers games this summer. There is posted a sign next to the entrance that the dirt lot is for "employee" parking only. I haven't tried to get in, and recall a person guarding the sign.
It is true, but as 'rum' is a fairly generic term for a spirit made in lots of countries (as opposed to, say, single malt scotch), and each country can define (or not) its own labeling requirements and regulations, I'm not entire sure that XO has the same legal definition everywhere it's used. The most common one I've seen is that the youngest rum in a bottle of XO must have spent a minimum of 6 years barrel aging in order to carry that classification. It's a similar guideline to single malt scotch, where the age displayed on the label (12 year old, say) identifies the youngest barrel aged spirit in the bottle. But commonly, blenders mix in older scotch/rum to achieve the taste profile they're looking for. That Ron Zacapa rum has some 25 year old spirit in the mix.
Hard to tell with people in the seats, but I wonder if the seats would be mostly black, but spell out "Crew 96" in gold. Or else maybe lay out a black and gold checkerboard pattern. Edit: looking more closely at that rendering, the distribution of black and gold seats appears to be in an irregular pattern, so I wonder if those seats might be laid out in a way to represent the Crew Logo when unoccupied. Something like this. . .
I've wondered in the past if they would do the kind of design where the stands fade from one color to another, probably yellow at the bottom and black up top. It has more of a busy, disruptive look so it would be harder to notice vacant spots. Obviously in an ideal world this wouldnt be a concern, and it may very well not be one. I personally think seats like that look cool though so I would be a fan. I could also see them doing a checkered pattern and/or diagonal stripes as featured in the badge.
I know Lamar said that. Of course, he was really talking about bleachers, not seats. And I think the core issue wasn't their color, but that they were unoccupied. Hopefully, that'll be less of an issue in the new stadium.
