While I appreciate your enthusiasm I wouldn't put too much stock in this result. The Fire were 1-10-4 on the road coming in. They had been shutout 7 times and had a -14 GD on the road. Also, they beat the Fire on the road so a home draw is sort of a step back (though better than what the crap they have been doing lately). I still think there are very few pieces that this team can even use in two years, yet alone next year. Just my thoughts though.
Terrible, terrible play from Mavinga. Two minutes left in stoppage time to get an amazing win at the shield leaders, and he lost his mind. 1-1.
I'm happy with that. Eliminates TFC from the ability to jump above Philly. The best they can do now is tie on points but Philly will have more wins. DC fails to win tomorrow and I get to watch a home playoff loss for sure.
He has the ability to be a great player, and then quickly be an idiot. Remarkable. Do you think players that throw the game away like that are given a lot of space in the locker room after by teammates?
Montreal were called for 1 foul all match. You better believe that's a record. 8 total fouls in the match, which I believe is also a record for fewest ever. Currently checking on that. EDIT: 2nd fewest total fouls ever. Fewest is 7 (TOR vs NE in August of 2008)
Well once UCLA took the lead again it was clear the 9th TD pass wasn't enough, regardless of what happened in the last minute.
Collapses? You mean Cougin It, right? (And this ranks near the top along with the 2013 New Mexico Bowl)
Revolution game ended around 9:30pm on Saturday and the Patriots with 1:00pm game on Sunday, that's 15 1/2 hours between games. No football lines, numbers and logos during the Revolution game. Is this the first time they waited after a Revolution to paint the lines, number and logo, with such a short turn around between games? Robert Krafft.....
With the Revolution playing last night at Gillette Stadium, it was an all-night process to re-paint the field for today’s Patriots-Jets game. The paint is still fresh. A lot of hard work by Jason Stone (VP of Stadium & Site Operations) and his crew to have the field ready. pic.twitter.com/2PSwVajEgh— Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) September 22, 2019
Damn. Portland have to use a sub on Flores because he was kicked in the face by his own man and has a knot under his eye.
