Anyone notice that Amazon Fire TV and IPhone versions of this app are set up different? I like on the iPhone app all the Bein connect channels are listed so you can pic which one to watch. On the Amazon Fire TV app there is no section labeled channels. I wish on my tv you were able to see in the Bein connect channels and chose what to watch.
I compared Liberatadores games last night on Fanatiz with Sling. Some of the Connect feeds on Fanatiz had to buffer back and forth for a bit and wasn't always the highest resolution. That has never been an issue with Sling, even last night. Anyone else have any buffering last night on Fanatiz? I know they just rolled out Connect channels so I imagine there is some tweaking to come.
I had the same experience watching on a computer. Fanatiz with some minor buffering but frequent not streaming at the highest quality (still watchable though), whereas slingTV was streaming at the highest quality constantly with no buffering. This was watching River-Palestino on BeIN 5.
I had Fanatiz for about 18 months. Most of that time I was using a sideloaded app on an Android TV box, so that testing source wasn't ideal. Then when Fanatiz made a Roku app, I jumped back to Roku from the Android TV box. Most of the time I felt that Fanatiz looked better when I watched VOD versus watching live. I have 100mbps d/l so my speeds are good. And ESPN+/ESPN3 always looks incredible. So, again, not my speeds. Now I'm betting BeIN via Sling and the Connect channels are hit and miss but I find the problem to be BeIN in that about 40% of the Libertadores games have some kind of metallic shine. I emailed them, they said they would fix it, and still the problem persists. The problem never happens on the main two channels.
Anyone noticing audio visual synch issues with the Bein sports English feed? I noticed lastnight watch the xtra and locker room. Is it a Bein or fanatiz issue?
What are everyone's thoughts on the quality of the Connect streams on Fanatiz? I have noticed a drop off from quality of those streams compared to Sling. Main channel BEIN streams are great quality on Fanatiz, but Connect ones are very hit or miss. Lots of lagging, poor/stable video quality. I originally thought it might be on Bein's end of things, but watching those same streams on Sling work just fine. I'm streaming on a laptop. Anyone else noticing a dip in Connect stream quality on Fanatiz?
I was watching one of the Sudamericana games earlier. Jesus, it was ridiculously unwatchable so I just stopped
Sounds like the streams on Fanatiz are as bad as the ones on their own Connect app. Sling has always been perfect, and when I had Fubo for a while last year they were perfect as well.
Better hurry, then. Not too sure why there wasn't both at launch. Fubo has both and KlowdTV had both so I'm not too sure why Fanatiz didn't have both from the start
Fanatiz has a deal right now $5 per month for three months with code RBFZ19. The signup has to happen through their web site, not through some other pay service. I don't know if this is for everyone or only people who used to sub but cancelled. I fall into that second category since my former Fantiz sub was for Libertadores/Sudamericana and Sling is better for my needs with cloud DVR and on-demand catch-up. But at $5 per month, I decided to jump back to get Argentine matches and Gol TV in HD. No Gol on Sling at this point. BTW, if anyone has Fanatiz is there a way to switch Gol to English commentary? I'm currently using my Roku for streaming but can switch to a Fire Stick. The Roku shows English as the option but Gol is Spanish.
There is no way to switch languages on GOLTV. I asked and they said they only have GOLTV Spanish not English. If more people demand for the English Version, I'm sure they would get it. I have done that but im only one man Heres the email contacto@fanatiz.com
I will send an email. By the way, I am using a Roku right now (although I could switch to a Firestick 4K) and noticed that the Fox broadcast of the superclasico was having problems every few minutes with the image speeding up. So, fast motion for 1-2 seconds. Fanatiz had the Fox and TNT broadcasts from Argentina. I haven't tested the TNT broadcast yet since Fox has announcers I like better. Did anyone else have this problem? My Internet connection is fast (100mbps) and I'm using a wired connection, so I don't think the problem is on my end unless it's a Roku issue with the Fanatiz app. I know it's not the Roku in general because Netflix, Prime, ESPN, and Sling do not have this same problem.
The TNT broadcast was much better. But now I'm watching GolTV through Fanatiz, which is a live stream only (no on demand) and a similar problem is occurring (with an added negative addition of the image pixels blowing out at times). Big disappointment. I'll have to try the Fire Stick right now since the quality isn't enough of an upgrade on the Roku over DTV's SD feed of Gol to pay the extra money per month. Even at $5USD. EDIT: Damn, same problem with Fire 4K stick.
If anyone is still using Fanatiz, can you tell me if the Ecuador-Bolivia friendly opens for you? It's listed in the on demand list from about 10 days ago. Every time I try to play, the screen goes black and then the main menu appears. Then nothing works. I'm using a Fire stick.
They finally wrote me back. The video coding was messed up and they had no backup so the game was removed. I will be canceling even at $5 per month since the service is basically useless for me. I don't have time to watch Argentina league games and GolTV looks like garbage with no DVR or on demand options.
Yeah, the quality, while watchable, is not as sharp as Sling or Fubo, and only the Argentine games are available on demand. I noticed that they lowered their official price to $8 per month or $80 annual, which is still a good deal if you watch mostly live, even considering the limitations of the service. The only thing it adds for me is the one Boca or River game per week that isn't shown on TyC (And live RCN, but I don't watch that). That for me justifies the price, but I know I'm an outlier.
