That you would say such a thing demonstrates that you clearly know nothing about football. You're obviously a troll and I'm not going to read or respond to your posts anymore. Montolivo LOL!

Montolivo in his prime was an above average solid midfielder. it's a shame the Azzurri didnt get to see him at WC14 or Euro 16 due to injury. he was great in Euro 12. those years were his prime

He was horrible. Was always a mature player and had some vision but lacked physicality and played with a sense of fear. Always seemed to hold up play and stop an attack from forming. He was a Prandelli staple. Jorginho reminds me of him these days. Mature, unremarkable player.

Pellegrini with 3 assists today. He's had a very strong start to the season as well. Both him and Sensi are giving Mancini some headaches about who starts in a midfield three for Italy in the future.

And Berardi with 5 goals in two games. His free kick goal today was lovely. Orsolini also scores the game winner for Bologna. More for Mancini to think about....

Yes both are good options to replace Bernadeschi, who we all honestly need to look over at this point. He will have a bad year for Juve. Juve btw are a mess, they won't win a single trophy this season.

Mancini looking at Di Lorenzo as he sent one of his scouts to the San Paolo Saturday. If we're sticking with a back 4, he is already an upgrade on Florenzi

Before we drop Berna as a winger, I guess one of those players should certainly replace El Shaarawy...who was overlooked for Pellegrini on the left side against Finland. Not even sure why Mancini selected him in the first place if he's not going to play him in his natural position for a midfielder instead.

I could never understand why any offensive player wants to go to Juve. They are a club historically known for playing boring negative football. Even Ronaldo isn't the same offensive player he was at Madrid.

i'm a big Florenzi fan.... for me he's either better suited more advanced or a great super sub since he's very tactically flexible and can fill in when needed almost anywhere on the pitch

Early on in the season I have noticed a couple Italian players preforming really well.

Stefano Sensi is right now the best player in the league. He has been absolutely brilliant for Inter, bettering his fine form that he had for sassuolo.

Lorenzo Pellegrini against Sassuolo was phenomenal. He is a baller, and all due respect to Roma, but he could be on to bigger clubs pretty darn soon

Gio Di Lorenzo is freaking awesome. Should be Italy's starter. I like having Florenzi in the squad as a do it all, utility type player.

Berardi is off to a hot start. Is this the year he puts it all together? With Berna having to deal with Sarri's lack of squad rotation (should be there starter imo), idk if we can rely on him to start. That RW spot is there for the taking.

Oh and Marco Verratti absolutely dominated Real Madrid today. He bent over Toni Kroos, Casemeiro, and James and ****** them from behind. Its so refreshing having a quality MF now.

Sensi, Jorghino, Verratti, Barella, Pellegrini. We look really good there. I just wish a destroyer type of national team quality will come through the ranks soon

Italy is solid at the goalkeeper position. I am confident with either Merit or Donaroma .Right now I would think Merit is outperforming Donaroma

Sensi got a 7 in the pagelle, the highest score of any Inter player for their CL game vs Prague.

In other news, Juve played 1 Italian in their entire game vs Atletico.

Even more bizarre is that Juve has morphed into Napoli.

Coached by Sarri, 1 Italian on the pitch and wearing their kits.

ah ******** Juve, they lost their soul trying to chase this CL title. Their squad is so massive they have 6-7 players that they have no idea how to utilize in their squad. And Sarri is a horrible coach imo.

Dybala, Rugani, Ramsey, Can, Manzukic,Perin, Rabiot....Sarri has no use for these players and he is the worst rotation coach in football.

wouldn't it be ironic if Juventus run in Serie A was ended by a team noteworthy for the prominence of Italians in its lineup. And by the guy who started their run no less.

Only 82 italians started today out of 220 players....thats the lowest in history i think.

Meanwhile 122 spaniards started in la liga.

I thought the new rules imposed by uefa (whatever they are) were going to change things down the foreign player dilemma? Or is that still 4-5 years down the line?
