I actually read (twice!) the question as being who the Crew two starting defensive midfielders (not central defenders) would be next season. And, evidently, I'd completely forgotten that Clint Dempsey ever existed. Not a good week. Dumbass.
First first finish! Surprising bc I know I missed quite a few. Must have been a rough week for most of you then.
Altidore!? Really!? Also those who didn’t say “retail” obviously have never worked retail. Every answer above that is a much better occupation. Retail is borderline slavery.

Are you guys all space nerds or something? Thinking that doing research was un sheep like and having no idea who was up there, I'm amazed so many people would have the same choice.
I'm just trying to figure out why Alexander Ovechkin is in space when the NHL preseason starts this week.
The question of where you have seen the Nats was interesting (and I am baffled by the folks who picked locations inside Ohio, as that was specifically prohibited by the question)--for me they include The Big Sombrero and the Silverdome, both of which no longer exist--as well as my first cap, an Olympic qualifier (at the time, it was considered a full international) in Indianapolis) back in 1985 or 1986. It was at the little stadium the Blast used up on 16th. But I figured any of those were "too old" for the current flocks of sheep. Not that I did much better with the Rose Bowl....
I picked where I did based on events they were best known for--2002 Korea for McBride and "Donovan has scored!!!" for Landon, both of which were a decade later than the flock chose. But the flock's choice was reasonable as I originally almost went with those choices..
I did the same. I put Reyna in the nineties, McBride, then Donovan although Dempsey was also in contention for the last one.
My first “cap” was McBride’s first cap coming on as a sub against Guatemala in a friendly in Guatemala City...er, um, RFK in Nov 1996. I don’t understand why the sheep didn’t pick RFK. More Nats games there than anywhere, including Chicago.
And some not-so-great ones. USA 1-1 Jamaica Oct 1997 USA 2-3 Honduras Sept 2001 Both were WCQ's. (I was there for both of those, too.)
I was at the Honduras game, too. which I'd certainly call "great" in terms of entertainment and atmosphere. Depressing as hell for a US fan, but a helluva show. I swear, half of the population of Honduras was in DC for that match. Honduras, as I recall, just kept dropping points in home qualifiers and didn't get to the WC. They were a talented side, and kicked our asses that day.
Because it is RFK and most people who have been there had either been attacked by raccoons or gotten tetanus.
McBride and Hejduk were the lone bright spots on that 98 team. Granted, that was but a small snippet of the 90's. Overall, I'd probably go Ramos for the 90's if I was answering for real and you'd probably need to include Harks in the discussion. I figured the legend of Friedel might get him in there. But that does seem to be waning. The only obvious one for any of those three was Donovan for the oughts.
