James was fantastic, Benzema as well. Carvajal is completely past it defensively, and I hope Marcelo plays 0 minutes vs PSG. Hazard looked good.
phewww...I'll take it. No midfielders available with CL coming up....so we're short players. Benz, James and Casemiro best today. Horror show by Carvajal and LV in the second half. Good signs going forward....still fragile at the back. Without Modric and Casemiro this team has no spine defensively. Hala Madrid.
3 points, individual brilliance of certain players - Benzema and James, and that is all she wrote. Other than that, atrocious second half with zero control and responsibility. Disappointed by Zidane, massively.
Are you people braindead? WE HAVE THREE MIDFIELDERS DUE TO INJURY. WE HAVE PSG MIDWEEK, THEN SEVILLA. WE NEED TO REST CASEMIRO. WE NEED TO MANAGE OUR VERY LIMITED RESOURCES. Hopefully some of you guys can understand it in all caps because simple logic or regular explanation seems to baffle you.
Ramos getting outpaced by everybody in Spain by now as well. Not sure how long he can keep it up, looks physically finished.
Playing a midfield of Lucas, James and Kroos was always as make shift as they come. We should have put the game to bed with all those chances though. The first half was the most enjoyable game we’ve played in a long time. More of that.
Nervous last 20 minutes, unfortunate that injuries and bookings put us in a spot where we had to sub Casimero, it also sucks that we don’t have a reliable goal keeper. Having said all that fantastic first half, we could have scored 6 today, good to see Benz continue his goal scoring form, and James showing his worth. It’s normal that we couldn’t keep up for 90 minutes against a team that had 13 days to prepare for this game, they have zero international players while most of us guys played midweek. Anyways onto the next one.
Happy for the win and that James got to play the whole game, was hoping we would keep him and not give him away to Napoli, always liked him as a player, we just need to cut out the individual errors that are costing us goals
