Yup, while i have my own wishes which will never be met.. i do think your line up is very likely for the Serbia match up. I dont mind it. Even with a little lack of creativity in the middle due to two DM players, the likes of B.Silva, Ronaldo and Joao Felix in attack in some form should be enough to help balance out the line up.

Me personally, i am not a big fan of Bruno Fernandes, but it doesnt matter because F.Santos is.. and continues to deploy him in unfavorable positions.

This squad is nuts. The attacking options are insane. And that includes the fullbacks too. I think at this point only France can legitimately claim to have better quality and depth as far as European nations go.

Fernando Santos is a great coach, but his defensive style don't utilize these attacking options.

I’m not a fan of the flat 442. Bernardo is pretty useless on the wing and asks a lot out of the double pivot in the middle.

I’d prefer to see a narrower setup.

Also Ronaldo needs a 9 to play off, as does Felix. I’d like to see a 433

Nelson Semedo has been the weakest point so far. That said, Portugal hasn't been playing good. Portugal isn't comfortable taking the initiative in the game.

The best thing of the game is the double champions patches. Euro patch moved to the euro qualifiers sleeve and nations leage winners patch now in the middle.

This game is for the taking but Serbia knows if you flood the box Portugal is going to have problems. Unless we bring in Neves to tee up shots from outside of the box.

I agree with a previous comment we should be playing narrower with quicker passes we are making it very easy for Serbia.

Terrible marking on that corner. Milenkovic found himself way too free there.

Ronaldo a little offside, Var would have took it away.

In a wedding, but couldn't help following the score rather than simply hold off and watch tonight.

Sure seems like the prototype Portugal qualifier: give the opponent a lifeline each time Portugal has things in hand. Glad to see all the goals, though, and responding to adversity.

That Guedes goal was definitely a beauty. A real reminder of his abilities.

Take care of business against Lithuania next and qualification is pretty much assured.

Bruno Fernandes continues to be the worst player on the field.

Disagree. Even if he lost the ball for the 2nd goal he did get 2 assists.
Semedo was by a long shot the worst player on the field. He got beat numerous times - he was like a sieve. Very weird. He was slow, out of position and even got nutmegged for good measure. Danilo was mostly at fault in their first goal but I also feel like someone else was supposed to be guarding that guy. Probably the new Fonte/Dias combo still learning how to play with each other.

Bernardo Silva was MOTM. The guy's engine is incredible - he was everywhere. Often dribbling at 2 players (successfully), making great passes to overlapping players on offense and then dropping back to help to cover the back 4. Such a great player.
By the way - the pitch was very slippery. Our players kept falling over (especially Ronaldo, who kept tripping over his own feet or falling over in the 1st half).
So, all in all, a great win in what should have been a tough away game.
Also, what was up with Serbia not playing Jovic?

lol @ giving credit for the assist to Guedes. Thats like giving credit to the assist of ronaldos goal against porto or messis against getafe.

Its weird the sportinguistas on here cant admit Bruno played bad and isnt fitting in. He seems incapable of doing the simple things right and almost cost us the game with that error

What's even worse is the Benfiquistas who can't admit Sanches is dog shit and doesn't belong on this team, or the fact that Felix is a weak shell of a man who is incredibly overrated and also doesn't belong on this team.

Let's also ignore Danilo getting owned ball watching on Serbias first goal, or that fact that Benfiquista Semedo was a f*ckin train wreck all game long from beginning to end.
