I'm not a fan of the player but to me anyway - it's pretty obvious we were interested. We've denied all the previous links so no reason we wouldn't do it now if we truly weren't having some discussion.

I think Barca would have liked to get him back and keep him out of Madrid. They got half of what they wanted by getting the price up high enough for us to not be interested.

PSG are the ones stuck with an injury prone player who openly mocks the club, is hated by their fans and paying obscene amounts of money for the privilege.

I actually think financially Barca were saved from a deal that might have been the straw that broke the camel's back. That said, the way they gone about including players in deals without actually asking their consent seems to have had an effect on morale, and can't be good for anyone at the club. As usual, Barca lose even when they win in the transfer market.

What makes you guys think that Neymar wants anything but Barca?
I think it’s clear that the guy misses his time in Barcelona and wants nothing but Barcelona.
It’s impossible to make a move from Madrid to Barcelona and his chances are 100x times better to just wait another year and then try again. The scumbags might be able to secure enough funding by then.

Feel like him staying there was always the best possible result for us.

This is why I always knew he wasn't going to move and why Flo never made a bid. It's clear he wants to go back to Barcelona and more importantly, they want him back. Despite all the drama around when he left, it's now clear bridges were not completely burned.

I think that’s because of Messi. He knows he needs another mega star besides him to win the CL again. He is the one who is forcing them to make the move IMO.

Man U with 1 win in 4 games. I just can’t see Pogba sticking around just to make sure they have a 3rd/4th place finish. He’s wasting his time there and he knows it.

I don’t know just how much bargaining power the guy has left, he’s 32 and pretty much almost done. He’s no CR7 genetic wise.

He's partially at fault for the results. He's the main transfer target for our coach and a few people here like him, but when are we going to start calling things by name and say that part of why they are so average is because they felt they could build around him?

He's at his peak now and might well be touching 30 by the time he's out there like Hazard. Could've been at Barca years ago and had a much much different career.

I am not the biggest admirers of Toni Kroos, but if Kroos put in a show like Pogba did in the last few games, people would crucify him over here.

What I dont like about Pogba is how ridiculously easy he loses the ball at times, plus his low ass effort when he is supposed to race back to provide coverage.

He doesn’t strike me as someone who can change an already low energy midfield that we have. If anything, he will make things worse!

Part of me thinks he just can’t be bothered, that’s why he’s playing below average.

My view, good going forward when he has the ball, will offer different solutions, meh when he does not have it, I thought he was slow, but I saw him sprint recently, he’s not that slow, which leaves me with , lazy or just disinterested, neither are interesting traits and why pretty much nearly every manager has paired him with two work horses in midfield, the demand on here was for midfielders that work hard on both sides of the ball and runs and runs and runs, Pogba does not solve those issues IMO

Pogba will also face the same problems here if he comes with a massive transfer. When he joined Manchester United, remember it was a world record fee. People expected him to to drag Manchester United from mediocrity and back to challenging for the league title.

Truth is, and just like every other player outside of Messi and Ronaldo, there was no way he was going to do that himself. If Manchester United played crap, he was going to look crap and even more so because of his transfer fee. When Manchester United were playing well, both under Mourinho and Ole, Pogba looked good.

At this moment in time, I don't think we need him. We need a hustler in midfield who can win the ball, drive it forward and essentially replace Modric. That's not Pogba. We need another who can dribble, assist and score and we have that in James and would rather give Odegaard a chance over Pogba.

Glad this Neymar thing is over. What a tiring saga. Now we still have to deal with the Pogba's saga. Hoping to just get one decent midfielder before the end.

There is no Pogba saga really! How can Manchester sell him now when they are struggling even with him in the line up? I cannot see any possibility of singing him till the winter transfer market. I hope by then, we are convinced that we don't really need him.

I don't think we'd pay the rumored fee TBH... But I really would like to see a midfielder signed.

Some people called Pogba a Balon d'Or candidate and are now saying "what do you expect from him?" and "well Toni Kroos..." comparing a player at his peak to a player going out of it.

Pogba was never worth the wages, the transfer fee or the trouble for Manchester United.

Maybe they'll figure they are struggling because of him, but it's too late to come to that conclusion now as they're apparently working on a new contract for him with Raiola.

They still need someone in his position. They won’t be able to buy till the winter window.

As and Marca seem to suggest that Manchester United plan to make him the highest paid Premier League player in a contract extention.

Imagine the troll of him signing a new contract.

If he agrees to it, it's on him. He knew about Manu before he went back but did it anyway. I really can't be made to feel bad for him. We just need a midfielder to help balance the squad, pogba or no pogba.

Just as long as Mbappe doesn't renew, we have a great shot in 2021. Will take a WR transfer to convince PSG to let him go even with just a year left, but worth it for 22 year old Mbappe.

I don't think Pogba will renew just yet. Utd will probably decide to move on from him if they end up in Europa League back to back. Might as well sell him for a decent profit then and get players who are committed for the new project. They lose significant amount of money from Adidas if they miss out on CL back to back seasons.
