The unholy triad has not "betrayed" the loyalty of long-suffering patience, Hauptman has caused (and the "soul mates" perpetuated) the long-suffering patience of the fanbase. We were not long-suffering back in 2007. Remember, prior to Hauptman taking over, the Fire had 1 MLS Cup, 3 MLS Cup appearances, 1 Supporter's shield, 4 US Open Cup trophies (including the year right before Hauptman took over) and the Fire had missed the playoffs once in 10 years. Since Hauptman took over, the Fire made playoff runs in 2008 and 2009 (largely with the team that predated him) and since then: 0 US Open Cups 0 MLS Cup appearances 2 single playoff games, total! To playoff games since 2009. We have back to back "wooden spoons," as well. That is astounding ineptitude in a league like MLS.
