Tim Ream has been among the top 5-8 CBs in the Championship, so no.

He’s nowhere near Christiansen. Would argue he isn’t anywhere near the next 2 options at Chelsea either. Argument for him to be CB4 though.

Man, if only everton really wanted him back, chelsea wouldn't suck so hard. Zumba is a terrrrrrible top flight CB.

Tim ream, i hope is the best professional defender of all time everywhere forever, but he should never be allowed to play for the USMNT again. Period. end of story, no need for discussion. End to end a miserable international player.

Is there an echo in here??:p
    ...
They did though. The team and fans were happy with his performance last season. Frank is the reason he is still at Chelsea and not Everton. He's in direct quotes as saying he wanted Zouma to stay (at Chelsea). And as far as your comparison goes....I am not sure we live in a world where Matt would walk into Everton, play 32 times for them, and have everyone in Merseyside wanting him bought as a permanent Toffee. That would have Matt playing almost every match of the season for a top 8 club in the Prem. I just don't see it.

Matt is a very decent player - but I think his future lies in the lower realm of the EPL. Which is not a terrible thing.

I think he'll become a Championship lifer, which is the most usual 'decent' fate for our guys actually playing in Europe --the level is like MLS, and there's always the remote hope of getting picked up by someone better (unlikely, considering salaries outside England), or the also slight hope of being promoted (we seldom have guys in good Ch'ship teams, Holmes is probably the exception this time around).

He's kinda young and with that Polish passport; maybe he might ditch the Championship for the Bundesliga sooner or later.

Perhaps, but I think consistency at Reading + Chelski brand will likely get him a cup of coffee. If he continues with solid working-man consistency and a bit of clean passing when available (plus his strong ups in the box on set pieces) I would not be surprised to see him land a Cameron-eque couple of years. Chelski have to let him go at a price, of course, of it's at/near the end of his contract.

Polish passport helps him more in EPL (Germans don't care) but only until Oct. 31. Think all non-Brit EU players will get shipped out at the end of Oct? (I'm sure they've put in some special dispensation, but it would be kind of funny...)

And now they're winning away 0-2 without Matt around.

Yeah, i noticed. Cant really fault the decision the way it worked out. Perhaps coach saw something in tactics that warranted bringing matt off...

It literally says "he pulled up in the middle of a play" which probably means he pulled a muscle or felt his hamstring go.
