Looks like Pedro was a very late scratch from the lineup, and Barkley started in his place.

Chelsea switch the field with a long pass way ahead to CP. he takes it down neatly, dribbles at his mark and then passes it out wide for the RB who crosses it in for an assist on the goal. Professional play all around.

Of course, Chelsea’s defense is really bad. 1-1 now.

I get the feeling when the transfer ban is up Chelsea may be investing in the defense... hell maybe Miazga will get a chance at Chelsea

I am just happy to see him starting back-to-back weekends.
When was the last time that happened?

CP lively, with a couple of runs that don’t quite come off as the final pass from or to him are just touched away by the D.

This should open things up so much more. Norwich is going to have to push some time soon and their defense which is so bad is going to get stretched on the counter.
This bodes well for CP if he can just put it on target.

CP receives ball just beyond top of the box running left, touches ahead to Mount inside the box nicely. Assist to CP, but Mount’s touch to himself into space cutting back right opening up the whole goal from just 15’ made the play - and then he crushed the shot cleanly. Mount just looks really good - if Pulisic can develop a good rapport with him, that would be huge for CP and Chelsea.

Yes, that was a sweet move by Mount and the majority of the goal was his effort.
It was still a nice subtle pass by CP to put him in position. He made it look simple but in some ways in that space it is not that simple. Seen way too many players in the Premiere League hoof it up hard without the proper weight and accuracy..
