It is beyond amazing in the worst way possible that we are apparently planning on heading into the gauntlet with this midfield.
Real Madrid are interested in signing Neymar, but they are seeking assurances from Paris Saint-Germain over the Brazilian's injury-prone metatarsal. Los Blancos have collected all the information about the forward's troubled past involving such injuries and they acknowledge his fragility, but they want to be extra sure about his condition before investing heavily in the player. The Ligue 1 reigning champions, on their part, are willing to comply with the Spanish club's demands over the fitness situation of the player, who has already recovered from his last injury and is training with the rest of his teammates. Following the meeting between the two clubs, Real Madrid have expressed their concerns about Neymar's injuries and they now await to hear back from PSG. A potential agreement mainly depends on the 27-year-old's fitness background and, once all has been made clear, Real Madrid would then be prepared to take the necessary steps to get the deal going, starting by raising funds from sales to finance the transfer. https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2019/08/23/5d5f0d99268e3e1f7a8b45cc.html
For the moment, we do have 6 midfielders. Technically, James was called up and listed as a midfielder. Kroos Casemiro Modric Isco Valverde James That may not be an exciting group, but we would probably need to ship one out to bring another in. It looks unlikely in this transfer window. I think we will change formations with frequence. We played a 433 the other day, but if we were to sign a player like Neymar, a 4231 makes so much sense. Hazard Neymar Bale all starting together under Benzema. We would likely ask more of our wingers in contributing to defense under that scenario. We did see Bale defending quite well against Celta.
Be patient with the middlefield. Kroos, Casemiro, Kroos, Isco, James, Valverde is a top 3 middlefield in the world. You can argue that Barcelona and City have a better one, nobody else does. Plus Kubo, Ceballos & Odeegard on loan. Add a big purchase next year (Pogba?) and it's the best middlefield once again.
PSG insist there has been no offer from #FCB that is worthwhile accepting to this point. They have the impression that the Catalans are only making it look like they are trying to content some key players in their squad. Meanwhile Real Madrid keeps conversing with PSG... pic.twitter.com/xB1n8Jkfm3— Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) August 23, 2019
The very likely outcome is Real Madrid make an offer on the last day and PSG unwillingly accepts whatever is given. But yeah, I'm ready for this fiasco to be over.
In what world would we be just calling up Rodrygo, just for the sake of it? He has 10 matches he can be called up for as a registered Castilla. It isn't infinite and we shouldn't be relying on him if we got Neymar anyways.
Am I the only one who does not rate Rodrygo that high at all? I am from Brazil and have watched many of his games and he was just meh. And by meh I say better than most of the Brazilian players but that's not saying much. I hope he has an unbelievably great year of development in Castilla. The hype is strong with him.
Lol, the transfer saga each year is so entertaining. Like an endless soap opera with cliffhangers every day.
The "deadline" PSG gave Barcelona ended like 4 hours ago. They even gave them an extra 2 hours as well and still nothing. Lame stuff from PSG.

LOL.
The way it stands right now, it looks like Neymar will stay put or we will sneak in with a too good to refuse offer and he will sign with us. If he does end up in Madrid, it will be beautiful to watch the Cules cry. I just hope that he stays Healthy and we avoid as much drama as possible... (wishful thinking, I know)
The #PSG attracts Keylor Navas. The goalkeeper of Real Madrid is indeed part of the short-list of Leonardo, as well as Donnarumma. However, Zidane wants two high level goalkeepers and does not want to part with the Costa Rican goalkeeper. Who cares. Donny can buy himself a Real Madrid shirt off the Internet. Gave this man unlimited clout for 2 weeks and not even Brescia was interested other than Real Madrid. Madrid papers picked this man up and gassed him up for no reason.
This Neymar saga is hilarious. Media should really pay Florentino some kind of a tax; crazy how his fetish for buying on deadline day earns them so much money from bullshit speculations.
