What a dismal display that was. It was not just the hat trick scored by Pukki, mostly abusing the space allowed by Krafth who was thrown into the deep end by Bruce. Not only the free, close range header the Joelinton couldn't put on frame. They dominated with 65% possession - seemed worse in the second half. Dubravka had a decent match to keep it from being worse. Why are we losing the ball so much to a promoted side? Why does Joelinton look so slow and inaccurate on offense and clumsy in defense for a £40m player? Will we ever score?? Oh wait, Shelvey got a consolation goal in stoppage time.

We will heavily rely on Almiron and Joelinton to score this season, and if the answer to the open question is that they are not capable of scoring regularly in the PL, then relegation is as probable as many have said. The midfield continues to be confusion. Hayden still looks good, but nobody next to him does. I'm sure we'll see a different combination next time out. Lastly, the one strength of our team has just allowed three goals. How much was dependent on Rafa's constant attention to detail? No one could be surprised if Bruce is not successful this year, but has the team quit on him already?!
