Do we have a RM board consensus who to pick, Neymar or Pogba?

Considering James` wages and losing 50M by not selling him, i call bullshit on this. I still think he will be sold.

So?? Everyone already knows he wants out. Nothing new here, except new levels of jackassery from the entire camp. Ridiculous.

    Lol he knows nothing.

That's just the general opinion in Colombia that Zidane won't give him a shot...

And while I understand how and why they feel that way

    It's just an assumption.

I, despite of everything, will give both James and Zidane the benefit of the doubt. I mean James has to have grown up and Zidane is not stupid. He is stubborn...but he is not stupid.

Neymar is the superior talent. Pogba is the bigger need, younger, and without the character/injury concerns.

I would choose Pogba. Too much uncertainty with Neymar. Plus we have many young attacking talents already.

But I’d take either one if the other is impossible.

Pogba could have put in a transfer request before PL window closed, but then Raiola won't get commission from Utd's side. Would have given Utd time to sign replacements as well. Now it's impossible.

    Not unusual at all.

Two more weeks till the transfer period closes and we have all but given up on Pogba. Raiola probably set this interview up to put pressure on Florentino.

They probably fear Florentino will really attempt to make a move for Neymar instead.

Can he shut up or is he purposely looking to antagonize this situation?

I hope Zidane plays James to spite shit like this.

    because he's a pussy.
he (I guess) wants to move, but also wants to keep all his options.
    it doesn't work like that.
part of this unusual fu(ked up pre-season is on him.

I think club and ZZ decided to keep James instead. ZZ probably hopes that money can be used on Pogba in January or next summer?

Coutinho in the squad list for Barcelona’s first match. He probably wouldn’t be if they were close to sending him to Paris.

I think this is the most “what have you done for me lately” comment I’ve ever seen.

He hasn’t played a meaningful game on his new team yet. He was injured for more than half of this preseason. But people will write him off already. Unbelievable

I believe his agent shot down the rumors of him going to PSG.

Werner has played six full seasons in a top 3 league at the age of 23 and scored over 60 goals in the last three of those seasons alone.

We could of got that for €20m less than what we paid for a one season wonder.

As many have said, particularly YS, Pogba wants to have his cake and eat it too. Too late, big guy.

Jovic I think better fits what we’re missing and has a much higher ceiling.

But I agree I might’ve gone with Werner’s more established track record at that price.

Werner is 23 and has played 6 seasons in Bundesliga. He was a one season wonder at Jovic's age. And his stock has gone down in last two seasons due to underwhelming performances despite respectable numbers. Bayern doesn't want to pay more than 25 ME actually and he wasn't a priority either. They'd probably wait another season to get him for free.

At least we know Jovic's strengths which should translate to a higher level as long as he finishes his chances(injury riddled pre season is a small sample size). Werner is much more of a wild card who can't lead the line well and goes invisible when playing wide. Not what we needed.

Yeah just worries me how much money and reliance this squad now has on unknowns or one season wonders.

Jovic, Rodrygo, Vini Jr and Eder. I don't mind one risky adventure but Real Madrid shouldn't need to resort to this.

Buying players cheap like Asensio, Ceballos, Kubo etc is fine because the bottom line it's a no lose situation.

I'm just not sure what the end game is in all of this. I'd be happier bringing back Odegaard than buying Rodrygo or bring back Oscar than buying VdB (a player I really love). If we're taking risks, why not trust our own.
