Sport reporting same now. Let's see if anyone close to RM will pick it up. #FCB 🔵🔴 | ¡Alerta! 🚨 💰 Florentino Pérez cierra un crédito para fichar a Neymar ▶️ https://t.co/aEQXvhKnAF pic.twitter.com/U1HmJK0RYD— Diario SPORT (@sport) August 15, 2019
Every press outlet in Madrid points to Zidane being in charge. I think his limits are the James sale (i think he wouldn't care if James joins Atleti, the club obviously did) and the Pogba transfer (i'm sure he's not bothered about the cost, the club did). On every financially logical level, he's in charge.
There are many that suspect that there is an agreement btween Perez, Neymar and his camp already, which is why things have gone quiet in our camp. Honestly not to get ahead of myself but it makes sense, there is no way Perez sees Neymar on the market and doesn’t try everything to get him, he’s the one that got away so to speak.
!!!!!!!!!!!! If James puts his head down and starts focusing only on the things he can control he will become an automatic starter because he is world class and won’t be denied.
I don't even kind of believe this. We haven't spent for years so why would we need a loan unless we're dropping something crazy over €200M and that wouldn't be smart. We know barca are cash strapped. We know Neymar is desperate to leave. I wonder if there was a way we can may part of the cost for the loan for a season then the rest next summer as the forced purchase option? For instance paying €70M this summer than €100M to complete the purchase next summer.
Yeah I'm not buying it. I've never heard of that site before as well. Leonardo said there was no progress and that's all there is to it right now.
We're probably spending big on the stadium and football clubs in general don't make too much profit compared to their revenue. We may have not spent much during the last few windows but all of that accumulated wealth was probably spent on the players we got this season. Also, though your "belief" and willingness to keep this story going is cute, Neymar is not coming. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Yeah that's the only viable reason we'd do this. Anyways, even if we did I wouldn't be mad. For me as long as we take care of him and manage him well he is the only worthy investment on the market for such an amount.
Also I love James and hope he does stay but this news just seems like a bunch of PR spin to save him and the club from embarrassment. By all accounts he was openly shopped to any and everyone and the only interest was a lowball offer from Napoli. The lack of interest was so bad that shipping across the city to Atleti may have been considered so I'm gonna take the whole "he's matured and impressed Zidane so that's why he's staying" narrative with a huge grain of salt.
Nah, unlike barca, City and PSG we force ourselves to follow the rules and guidelines of FFP. Why when they refuse to actually punish those constant violators? No se man.
Neymar will earn 30 ME net at least so that along with Bale's 17 ME, Hazard's 15 ME, Ramos 12 ME, Kroos 10 ME etc means heavy wage bill. Won't be surprised if we need a loan in case we are paying 150 ME in cash for Neymar. Last summer we sold Ronaldo, but Vinicius, Courtois, Oddri, Mariano, Lunin signings meant an outlay around 150 ME. Rodrygo seems to be included in this window and Vini last year's.
It's a Barcelona based newspaper that covers all things Barca. They're known for their heavily biased slant (The paper's official slogan is something ridiculous like "always with Barca") so I'd take anything they report with a grain of salt but they are one of the primary newspapers in Spain
I just checked a guide on /r/realmadrid and they label it a 4th tier newspaper. They are mostly wrong about everything.
Stadium will be financed by loan. Secondly, player transfers are payed in installments and kept in the books as short term liabilities. Meaning, they are already accounted as one of the cost and then deducted from revenue / income -> profit / loss. We can afford 200M over 5 years, albeit it is a risky investment.
"Real Madrid are expected to make another offer to PSG soon and plan to include one or two players plus €100m-€120m in cash." Outside of Vinny I can't think of anyone PSG would be interested in tbh.
