So now we've seen it spelled Richie, Richy, and Ritchie. Now that we've decided on Sergiño, can the great minds at BS settle this pressing issue?

Highlights of the game, not that it shows you much. Richie is taking the free kicks and corners, at least

as an aside, I looked up the Jon PSV roster and it looks like Richie is the youngest midfielder on their (web listed) roster, and only 2 forwards are younger among field players

Played 90 in a 0-1 loss to MVV.

I wouldn't hold out much hope he gets significant p.t. for PSV's 1st team this year. He needs to pack on 15 lbs or develop some serious nastiness to make up for his slight frame. Getting knocked off the ball plenty, panicking when his first option isn't evident from the outset, and when he gets in position to win the ball he doesn't or backs off.

He may have still had a goal if Jong PSV weren't such a poor passing team. Delayed a pass to him on the doorstep and when it came he was offside, disallowing it in the end. Really struggle in the build-up against any pressure too.

“In addition to the performance of Lars Unnerstall, 18-year-old American Richard Ledezma was a bright spot for Jong PSV tonight. A number ten with insight into the game and a good pass.“

  17. It has to be considered that quite a few players from the Young team have stepped up into the PSV first team selection or moved on. Those werenot the worst ones of the Young PSV selection, so they need some time to fit in the replacements.

  18. Voetbal International rating:
Y PSV 0-1 MVV: Ledezma 4.0 out of 10 (less than 5 is poor)

Was any reason ever given for Richie not being called into (or not accepting a call up for?????) the US U-23 camp happening this month?

Obviously not injured, so that would seem to be a rather massive red flag to me. Yet no one here or on Twitter seems to be overly freaking out about it, which makes me think maybe I just missed something.

Probably true but not really the point. Given that Tab said Llanez would have been in the U-20 squad if not for an injury, the lack of any clarification from Kreis on Ledezma is... not ideal from a USMNT perspective.
