I have a 4 pack this season in addition to my full season ticket. No offer yet for partial season seats that I've seen. They didn't even try to upsell me to a full season on my partial seat.
If it's already been answered, apologies. I saw approximately 3000 seats at the new stadium which is slightly more than double the current situation.
@Minnman answered it at the tailgate. I am even more pumped for this new stadium if a whole end is a massive supporters' section.
Anyone go to the STM event yesterday? I had a little story about one of our new signings Romario Williams. I brought my 8 year old nephew (he’s on the autism spectrum) in place of my wife who couldn’t make it. At the end of the line for the “premier players” were Crognale, Williams, and Clark. As we were getting autographs from Crognale, Williams leans over to Clark and said “ ugh...man, this line never ends does it.” In a “condescending, I don’t give a crap attitude.” I was kind of shocked. Here’s a guy who’s bounced around and given an opportunity in a new city to make an impression to the fans and by that time, had only been sitting there for maybe 20 minutes tops. He can’t get over himself and pretend to enjoy the hour and a half it takes to sign some autographs? This was right in front of an 8 year old and a 4 year old. Complete contrast to Trapp who had a genuine smile on his face and was so nice to both boys as were the other players. My nephew hasn’t been able stop talking about Wil Trapp and I’m considering getting a 10 match plan for him next season. Also, did anyone see Caleb Porter? I saw Onstad but I felt not seeing Porter was odd.
The only players I interacted with were Trapp, Higs, Room, Crognale, Williams and Clark. Trapp, Higs and Room were very genuine and interacted with a smile, as did Corgnale. Williams didn't say a word to us other than "you are welcome" and Clark smiled when my daughter told him she couldn't read his signature. He then asked if she said the same thing to Trapp.
Obviously guys like Trapp and Crognale love this kind of thing. I’m sure it reminds them of when they were kids and doing this sort of thing. Room was really nice and I’m sure Pipa loves this stuff. You can tell he loves it here. I hope he’s involved with the team once his playing days are done.
Just for @hangthadj I asked Pipa how his recovery was coming along and if he'd be back next year and he said that it's coming along great and, yes, he's planning to be here in 2020.
Appreciate it, DGA!! Time for our supposed genius owners and front office staff to put an end to this nonsense. This is a professional soccer team, not a charity. There isn’t another team in the league that would take him on in a starting role at this point. Penciling Pipa into next year’s 11 is waving the white flag before the season starts. No other roster move possible would have a more negative impact on the team’s results.
That's all well and good. But did you ask him about restructuring his contract and a GAM or TAM buy-down that would mean he'd not place much pressure on the roster salary budget and, you know, maybe some performance/minutes played incentives, or how about a player-coach/S. American scout hybrid role that might make him really cheap to retain???? C'mon, man!
Got a (free) pic with Hector and Waylon--both were nice--in the visiting locker room and got an autograph on a jersey and talked a bit with Maloney--as we have the same alma mater--albeit 40+ years apart. Joked that I might have gone to school with his parents... Also got Crognale's sig on a jersey. We didn't go for the big line, though, as we were pretty busy, so Mrs KG did not get her Trapp warmup signed. Oh, and talked with Dr. Pete for a minute and thanked him.... The event was decent. Liked the free beer.
Missed the event due to a work emergency for my wife. Is there a reason you labeled your pic with Hector and Waylon as free? I haven't had to pay for anything at any Crew SC Fest I've ever attended.
No worries, guys. Dr. Pete just followed me on Twitter. He knows where to get his #content and advice on what’s best for the future of the Crew. We may be saved from the nightmare of another Higuain season after all.
I think the change in style from possession based tiki-taka to a more transition based system has helped as well.
Because I didn't take it.... Interestingly, Dante was in line just ahead of me to get some pix with his family...
No. Because that's a question you save for this guy! @chr1st, Bez says, "hi." Also, he's mine; I got there first.
