Just the goal itself, not the pass, I believe. Worst decision was Schumacher and Battiston. How did the ref miss that one? In the same cup, the guy who disallowed the French goal when some sheik dude did a pitch invasion.
The South Korea vs Italy and Spain games were so bad, 3 goals disallowed against South Korea across the two games, plus a very dodgey sending off, the Koreans seemed to be able to pull shorts and run into players at will without any punishment. 2002 was a terrible tournament as a spectacle and FIFA had a lot to do with that.
It would have been 2-2. Perhaps, the momentum would have changed. Schumacher would have been sent off. The outcome would have been different. The penalty was outside the box (2:00). Turkey received their first red card for denying a goal scoring chance and the card was a correct decision. Brazil scored the penalty and took a 2-1 lead. Without the penalty, Turkey might be able to get a draw. Then, Rivaldo did a play act and a second Turkish player was sent off. However, even if the game ended in a draw, Turkey would still finish second in the group. The second red car was at the very end of the match. It did not change the outcome. I do not know enough about the rule. Rivaldo's play acting was not a "dive". Was it a yellow card offence? The referee's mistakes would not change much at the end of group stage. However, the match was the first one in their group. At the time of the match, there was a difference for Turkey gaining a single point or not against Brazil.
